I've been here several times, great site, very clean facilities, especially the hot showers! Owners very friendly and helpful.... Great location for sightseeing the area, and the train station is just a few minutes walk! I will be coming back!

Nice clean tidy site.very helpful staff, very good toilet and shower block although you have to climb some steps to get to them.handy for the train line into either Sheffield or Manchester....some noise from here but you soon get used to it.good base for sight seeing etc.

The campsite is well maintained and landscaped. The majority of pitches are for seasonal caravans but there are hard standing and electric hook up for tent and van alike. I found the owners to be very friendly and helpful (especially when the car broke down!) Unlike other reviewers I didn't find the rules to be over the top, in fact they are pretty standard for any campsite. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars is due to the train line which runs along the edge of the camp boundary. Trains don't run through the night but do run until nearly midnight and start again around 6am. This meant earplugs were essential if staying in the tent. I also found the campsite to be quite brightly lit which didn't bother me but others may require an eye mask. Overall I would recommend the site but be sure to take some earplugs!

Easy access and quick friendly booking process. However the campsite was located poorly in noisy area and at night weird distinctive smell of gas caused both myself and my son to suffer from mild asthma attack. If you are looking for fresh air and tranquility, this is not for you. Additionally there was no electric plug on restroom, which is a very big con.
