Me and my children stayed for the night, and what a lovely little gem we found if you don’t mind sheep and all that comes with sheep. Incredibly peaceful with stunning views to wake up to. We were the only ones there and had pick of the fields. Toilet and running water available, but what else do you need? Owner a lovely gentleman, very friendly and helpful. I’m sure we’ll be back again.
Lovely spot, amazing views, great walks and a very friendly owner. It's a basic campsite and working farm but you dont always need much more...we really like the peacefulness of it all. We would come back.
A lovely night's camping, with a beautiful view - probably the best that you'll get in the Hope valley. Facilities are limited on the site - 1x loo and and 1x tap, but the welcome you'll get from the friendly farmer is great and you're within walking distance of two pubs. A gem of a place.
Very basic but absolute bargain. The owner was very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax away from the urban noise this place is ideal, great views day and night To all the people complaining about things like no WiFi, silverware, clean towels or the presence of sheep... Sell your camping gear.
Good location. Friendly guy who owns the farm. Just lots of sheep poo and it's not very flat ground. £3pp. £2 for a car.
It was lovely and quiet. Great for folk looking for wild camping experience. This is a working farm and the site offers a toilet and tap all the things you need. Situated at the bottom of Kinder Scout and Mam Tor, it was a perfect location. Peter is so kind and helpful, we will most definitely visit again. All 3 of our children love the site.
Amazing campsite. Lots of space, close to nature and to walking paths to Kinder Scout. Basic facilities but for me it was enough specially there is a nice stream close to farm you can soak for a while. Very nice and helpful owner. I highly recommend this place for those looking for quiet and private campsite with magnificent view. Mind the lambs they like to chew tent from time to time ;
The best place to go if you want to get away from busy city and close to real countryside! Peter is very friendly and helpful so do his lovely sheep!
5 stars for the location of Kinder Scout via Jacobs ladder , the views , price and the owner is friendly . Very basic but as others say close to wild camping as you can get . £8 for a camper with 2 people which is a great price 2019 . The views are excellent . Can’t believe the site is so quiet , just us the first night on a Friday
Awsome little treasure we found for our caravan. Pitches cheap & only water. Farmer is very helpful and lovely man. Well recommend good for wildcamping practice. Views are worth amazing.
