EASILY 1 star, technically should be non since no treatment was provided. Starting a physiotherapy asap after an injury if very important in order to recover fast and back to normal. This hospital don't see it that way... After two weeks waiting for the appointment, the hospital cancelled it 1h before the actual appoint. 1h.... After calling to arrange a new appointment asap, I was told there's nothing available for the foreseeable future and my best option is to constantly call them to see their availability... YOUR HEALTH is not St Leonard's Hospital's concern.
Just terrible service. I waited for the first visit for more than 6 months and the day before the meeting it was replaced with a phone call. Due to the fact that it was impossible to provide assistance over the phone, my visit was postponed for another 10 weeks. My catheter was not installed professionally. He fell out 2 hours after the visit and started bleeding. I had to urgently go to another hospital. If you value your health, avoid this hospital.
I had an extremely poor experience at the hospital, Foot health. Despite being only two minutes late, I was turned away. I had travelled for an hour to attend my appointment and even called ahead to inform them of my delay, yet I was still denied NHS services.
Nobody seems to pick the phone, and if they do unnecessary waste time. Waiting months for check up, lost teeth in so many years, denture wait list so long. My new dentist did that in a week and so comfortable. Unprofessional.
Always helpful and have been going there for 20 years. The physio dept saved me from being paralysed with their treatment
Been calling for days and no one picks up. Call again and it’s busy call again never pickup so frustrating
The place never seems clean, it's so old and run down. Good luck with getting anyone to answer the phone. Some of the staff are nice - others omg - rude and zero care.
Referred for a xray/ultrasound, where I waited over 1hr in the waiting room, before the hostile treatment of the "DR". I was quizzed on the anatomy of my shoulder because i knew the extent of my injury. I was then dismissed from the service altogether & those scans have not been seen/retrieved to date. In hindsight, I should've reported to CQC, because the in house complaints procedure protects their highly decorated, well recognised high calibre staff.. pointless. Then the pain service... generally they want to see you come in hunched over & with walking aids. My pain threshold is different, I'm hypermobile, brace frequently etc & all it's dismissed to being "psychological trauma trapped in the body". I understand the rise in psychological methods of recent, but come on. I'm telling you about me and you're telling me no, that's not possible?? If I have gone 5 year without anyone okaying an xray, how can you tell me that's not possible? Do you see any x rays on my file? Insanity. Again shoulder & rib pain was assessed & the entire assessment focused on low back pain a previous & well managed injury treated outside the UK & previous trauma/therapy I had completed etc. The two sessions I painfully travelled to, to experience their process of improving pain & limitations, were spent doing guided meditation and breathework -which I had expressed already doing. Only then to be told our initial agreed 12 sessions personal plan will end at the 3rd Session and that was early june. I have left messages to speak with someone & to no avail. They also were convinced I was so "psychologically traumatised/confused/out of it", I kept saying I lived in a different Borough. I moved from hackney to Islington mid referral, but to them this could not be possible & I was given crazy looks & "corrected" every appointment despite discussing how I travelled to the appointment. Everytime! They hear what they choose & want to hear. Maybe they'll hear this review and get back to me.
First time attending this hospital for my foot care assessment the person who carried out the assessment was very informative friendly knowledgeable great experience I think his name was Micheal had tattoos sorry I didn’t take his name but I’m pretty sure he said Micheal thanks for your help and professionalism
After years of bad experiences with non trauma/special needs informed or trained dentists, my mouth was a total mess. A year under the dental services at St Leonard's and I'm able to smile for the first time in over a decade. The staff were wonderful, patient and very understanding. They really looked after me and went out of their way to make sure that all the damage was dealt with sand that I had dentures that fit properly and I was happy and confident with my new smile. I will forever be grateful to them for all their hard work x 5 stars isn't a high enough rating. They deserve
