After being told the address and having a 4pm appointment, we stood outside a main entrance that was locked? There was a phone number to ring, which we did and we were then told to go round the other side of the hospital to get in!We found it eventually and it was nothing more than a door, you would never have known it was there. My appointment was apparently on the 3rd floor, but the lift didn't work, then we were told that all Saturday appointment were somewhere else.So on a corridor hunt we went and found the reception and waiting area which is in a completely different building/hospital. By now l needed the loo which we went to and it was completely blocked, full of water/pee toilet paper and paper strewn all around.....l felt sick.......what is it with hospital toilets,l had a bad experience at a hospital toilet not long ago. I saw my Dr on time, which was a good thing but came out very stressed and exhausted as walking is a problem for me and l felt like l had been sent on a hike......it's a hospital for goodness sake,a little more consideration for their patients comfort would be nice,we don't go there through choice...
For private prescriptions the pharmacy is a huge rip-off. £48 for two months’ supply of a drug that’s been off patent for decades. Mostly pleasant but very slow service to boot; still wasn’t ready after 40 minutes so I had to leave and come back. When I returned I had to find the cashier, who was on her lunch break, before the pharmacy then accepted payment from me directly. Go elsewhere if you have a NHNN prescription.
My experience at this hospital was positive but very short so can't say much except that this hospital has a right to continue. I heard that it might be closed down. I hope the people won't allow this as NHS is funded by the people and it is the people that decide in the end. Or should, if only they knew their rights. As for those "doctors" that think natural medicine doesn't work you have simply educated yourself into imbecility. Natural medicine works and if you payed attention at the beginning of your studies concerning the father of Medicine Hippocrates, he said, "Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine thy food". And lastly look up the data on deaths caused by Medical negligence instead of talking stupid about natural treatment that never caused any harm to anyone.
I had endless problems with a few medical issues and ended up getting the most help and resolution at this hospital . Unfortunately thier departments and funds have been cut and I am costing the NHS more money struggling without the help I formally had at this hospital . I recommend the service they provide as it's a more effective way to treat chronic conditions in my experience
The homeopathic hospital helped me so much I used to have menstrual problems with very irregular periods due to pcos I had to try a few different remedies here about 5 different ones before I found which one suited me and then increased the strength dose of it but it really worked and cured the problem I don’t need to take any medication for it now. Before GP doctors gave nothing much for it only contraceptive pills with an attempt to regulate the cycle these did not help and instead I would get very severe painful cramps and the pill has many side effects too
Maybe too many people still believe this is a homeopathy hospital. It isn't. It's been a hospital that focuses on the whole person, unlike conventional medicine, for a number of years. If you only want pills and potions, then it won't be for you. But if you want something to work with traditional treatment, that can aide recovery and better health please give this hospital a try. Treatments like mindfulness, hypnotherapy, the insomnia clinic to teach sleep hygiene are offered. It's not a perfect hospital and no hospital can be. But in my own experience I've been helped hugely by the staff here. It compliments conventional medicine, rather than replaces it.
Almost 7 months after my first visit, I can only describe myself as a new woman. This was my first venture into the world of complimentary medicine - to think I almost didn’t go because of my own and other people’s prejudices! But I did and as a result I no longer suffer the collection of ailments that had me practically retire from life. So if you’re feeling at the end of your tether and the allopathic medicine has failed to help you thus far, please PLEASE give Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine a go. You'll be glad you did.
Great Homoeopathy hospital, felt really grateful to visit here for work discussion, met senior Homoeopathy doctors and learnt alot from them regarding Homoeopathy practise in London.
Such an amazing hospital, and it’s all on NHS, hard to believe! I have CFS/ME and when I move to London I asked for a referral to CFS clinic. I had been attending one where I lived before but RLHIM is thousand times better! Before, I was only advised on pacing, had sessions with OT every few months and two very poor sessions with a dietitian that didn’t really help as it was just general information. But here? Oh my, I wish I have moved to London sooner! I was seen by an actual doctor, who was thorough, kind and knowledgeable. The session was almost an hour, no rush. I was also offered multiple therapies to help me. So far I have talked to a dietician, and she was great, had very deep knowledge of nutrition, psychology and what is important, of CFS. I am very grateful to be able to access this level of care on NHS, especially after my not-so-good experiences in my previous clinic.
I had really good experience first with a caring podiatrist, who sadly left to go to Australia. Then I asked my GP to refer me to the Weight Loss Clinic and I saw Dr Gill Hyams on several occasions for CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which worked well for me. Logical discussion about what I purchase, reducing portions, not worrying about ‘leaving food’ instead of thinking you ‘have to eat all on the plate’. As we were brought up to think. My weight loss of 12.7% of my body weight, would have continued if only they had follow up. I would please beg the hospital to re start this fantastic service.
