The St James Hotel, Nottingham, is an independently-owned boutique hotel located in the heart of Nottingham city centre, opposite the entrance of Nottingham Castle and minutes from the Old Market Square and Nottingham Train Station.

The St James has been refurbished in 2014 to be a stylish sanctuary in the middle of a hectic city. Inspired by the grand palazzos of Venice, the interiors are bold, distinctive, but ultimately welcoming.The hotel boasts 87 beautifully designed bedrooms, ranging from youthful Crash Pads to The Penthouse.

The St James is nothing like any other hotel in the region. It is individual, bold and has character like no other.

Great hotel. Lovely helpful staff. Good food, good location for the castle and all shops, bars and clubs but tucked away so you don't hear a sound at night. Stayed here approx 8 times, I won't stay anywhere else when I go to Nottingham. Highly recommend.

The rooms are very small, but clean and comfortable. Fine for one or two nights, space to hang a couple of items, tight space around bed etc. Good location for visiting Nottingham, shopping/sight seeing/ night out. NCP car park next door. Great water pressure in shower! Breakfast was good.

A lovely venue to enjoy our Christmas present of an afternoon tea for two (Groupon). Nice place near to the castle and the staff were keen and ready to help adapt when we said we were veggies (they unfortunately hadn't picked up the email sent in advance, but more than made up for this). Generally a beautiful location; definitely worth a visit!

Nice looking place, but shower was awkward and difficult to operate, also fell apart. As soon as you open the door of the toning room, stairs steeply go down without any flat/level area, dangerous if you don't look where you are going, also no warning about immediate steep stairs down, or no mention of this by reception staff. Chunky potatoes came with steak were horrible, surely were pre-cooked and heated up before serving, but in a horrible looking tasteless way. I wanted the steak medium, it was more rare. TV and room heater worked excellently, and the breakfast unbelievably quick and tasted amazing.

Don't know what i expected but i was pleasantly surprised. Hotel has had some refurbishment giving it an updated look. Staff was super friendly and very helpful, i would definitely recommend
