Hotel is decent, has a small gym no weights comfortable beds. The food in the evening is excellent credit to the chef. During my stay staff were all wonderful especially breakfast team.
BE WARNED - THIS HOTEL IS NEXT TO A NIGHTCLUB.nnStayed here the night before a work conference a Wednesday evening. Location is close to restaurants etc and the rooms were clean and quite spacious.nnAt 1.45am, was awoken by extremely loud music which at first I thought was a car passing by. Unfortunately this was not the case. The music continued to 5am, lots of shouting and screaming from outside. I had just shy of 4 hours sleep, was exhausted all day at the work conference and felt quite poorly.nnWhen I spoke to the receptionist, I was told that we are in the city centre yes, I was very aware of that and if I planned on returning I could request a quieter room! Really not helpful after 4 hours sleep. I felt as though he was saying 'what do you expect?'nnI feel that there should be some kind of warning or narrative in relation to the hotels vicinity to the night club. Ear plugs could be provided? I stay in a lot of city centre hotels due to work and have never experienced anything like this.nnVery disappointing experience. Won't return.
The room was lovely. The first morning the breakfast were really nice but the second morning I had the impression the breakfast staff didn't want me there. They stuck me and my partner on a tiny table next to the entrance but when new guest arrived they got to pick where they wanted to sit. It was a buffet breakfast so when we finished a small plate and went to get some more food they cleared the table clean including our coffees which we hadn't even started because we were waiting for them to cool down.nnThe rest of the staff for the hockey weekend were really nice. Just sucks that that breakfast team just didn't like the look of me
PROS:n- Friendly staffn- Clean roomn- Central locationn- Secure parkingnnCONS:n- Rooms are tired and in desperate need of refurbishment if mine was anything to go by - and mine was a ‘superior room’ but the tatty decor was much closer to what you’d expect to find in a hosteln- Parking is expensive at £20 per night - I don’t know why hotels think it is ok for charging you extra just for the ability to arrive in a car when you are staying with themn- Bar is soulless and depressing. It is the last place on Earth you’d want to hang out in with friendsn- At breakfast they give you tiny plates to use for the buffet, which are not only difficult and quite stressful to try and eat on but indicates that they are tight and want you to eat as little as possible and therefore minimise the enjoyment of your breakfastn- Nobody to meet you when you enter the breakfast area which is in the depressing bar area so you have to just go try and find space and quickly secure the table by adding a juice or something
Great hotel, very clean and had really comfy beds. Staff were really friendly. Car park is secure and an extra £20 per night. You get to it via Bromley Place the small road just before the hotel. It’s easy to spot but we didn’t get an instructions prior to getting to the hotel so thought I’d mention it here!nnSlightly noisy from venues on the road next to us but nothing we couldn’t sleep through. Definitely stay here again, location is perfect.
