Fantastic evening meal in the lovely beer garden. We were a large group which can be tricky but were made to feel very welcome. Liver and bacon was a highlight. We will definitely come again. Thank you very much
Pulled off the A35 and found this hidden gem 5 mins from the main road... Liver and bacon a favourite I don't cook and fish and chips and a very warm welcome. Beautiful gardens. Stunning views. Great food.
Went here a couple of days ago for lunch and had the liver, bacon and onions. Absolutely Delicious. It’s a large portion so if you’re thinking of any dessert then I would recommend getting the Mini portion of main course otherwise you can forget about having room for any dessert
As a group of lady cyclists we spotted this beautiful pub on route as a reccy for Sunday lunch. We spotted some pods in the garden great idea and view but we're asked not to use them unless we ordered food, despite all them being empty, when we decided not to order food as there was no food suitable for us at that time we received a very cold shoulder and evil looks from the landlady. Sadly we won't be returning which was a shame as the landlord was delightful. Sadly I will be taking this out of my recommendation folder for my local holiday lets.
Joined my sister and her partner for an evening meal, they know the area well and came across the Spyway Inn a few years back. I had the Halloumi kebabs they were yummy. The chaps had steak, cooked beautifully white sis had gluten free fish & chips. Very friendly hosts, can recommend a visit. Lovely garden to sit in if you wish.
Came for Sunday roast. Wasnt expensive and for less than £70 for drinks and a warm meal for 4, can’t really complain all round. Chef/owner/kitchen help came out to serve us. He was lovely and got us sauces etc. Landlady was a bit cold but they were pretty busy. When we booked the day or so before the chap was really lovely. Pints were very good. Nice clean pipes obviously. Our waitress was an absolute Gem, efficient, friendly, professional and polite and made the experience a little less off putting. She was great. She gets 5 stars.
Stopped off here for a little drink over the Jubilee bank holiday. What a gorgeous little, cosy pub with friendly staff and attentive service. We had a few drinks and some food which was lovely. Sadly the garden was closed so we didn't get to try the pods outside but look forward that next time we are in Dorset.
They accommodation of the publican was outstanding. We brought someone in a dress and they provided us the pork baps well past the kitchen closing. Our dressed friend was so overcome and his day was made!Location: 5/5
This Inn has THE best food I have tasted in a very long time. A robust veggie menu and I had the Tempura Cauliflower. Absolutely delicious and I understand the chicken from another happy customer was just as good. Great range of drinks, including local cider and some yummy gins. Service was top notch, super friendly local free house. Can't recommended highly enough. If your in or near Bridport in Dorset it's well worth the visit and what a gorgeous view from the beer garden. Thank you Spyway Inn we looooved it
We called in last night on the off chance of some where to eat, we were greeted with a worm welcome and the food didn't disappoint good hearty meal locally sourced and home cooked value for your money couldn't rate it more will definitely be going back again thank you.
