Great pub, love the new wood burner too. Always bustling and friendly. Only thing that let it down tonight was the loudness of the music. Went home with a headache after shouting at friends across the table for 3 hours and trying to follow conversations. Background music is great but at a level where you can chill and chat too please :
Great pub, great selection of ales. Lovely beer garden and a very comfy inside. With a pizza van outside it's very hard to question whether its the best pub in Southampton
The SWA was superbly positioned for a pint after a long walk from St. Mary's after watching Leeds draw with Southampton. We were forced to spend more time here as our return train was cancelled Oh dear. Very pleasant seating at the rear featuring real grape vines. Great selection of real ales. Highly recommended for drinking. I haven't eaten here.
The band I am with played at the venue and a fine evening it was, it was not our first time and won't be our last. Great atmosphereFood: 4/5
I love this place. A must for real ale fans! Great beer and a good choice. It has a good atmosphere and the beer garden is lovely. The garden has hanging grape vines and a fountain, very relaxing
