This place is a gem! Micro pub filled with amazing beer! Both on tap and on the fridge, there is something for everyone.
This place is absolutely fantastic and my partner and I find ourselves in here more often than we’d like to mention because of it. It is only a 40 minute walk from our house, so works perfectly when incorporating it with a weekend walk. Plus it’s the only drinking hole worth visiting locally. The staff are all wonderfully welcoming and friendly and will always offer you helpful recommendations. There beer section is forever changing, hence why the regular visits too as it keeps enticing you back in!
Best beer selection in Southampton. Great atmosphere. Wonderful staff. An absolute must visit for the discerning beer drinker when in Southampton.
Get the one negative out of the way, like most independent ale houses it's probably too small but apart from that it's fairly great. Good selection of drinks, decent prices and friendly staff. Going to make more of a effort to pop in more often.
Still love the Hook. Still amazing. Wonderful place, and worth a trip. Always a great selection of beers, always great service, always an awesome vibe. Lovely people, good beer. What more could you want? Still brilliant, still full of wonderful people. Amazing one of a kind place 10/5

One of my favorites place to be! Nice environment, easy to meet new people and chat. And, obviously, fantastic choice of craft beers!
Superb ale selection, great atmosphere. A real gem and the original micro pub!! Get there early or you will be standing.
If you're into your beer then this is the best pub in the city. The owner is lovely and despite it's small size there is a real sense of community here.
