This place really needs to decide what it wants to be, a nice pub serving a great selection of beers which you can slowly enjoy, or a party-banter-centre. You cannot be both, and trying to do both doesn't work. It's not great for either. It lacks atmosphere for the first, and lacks the pricing and atmosphere for the second too. The beer is nice, but there are nicer places around.
Ordered pizzas to find they'd run out, had to have burgers instead which were terrible and just fell apart when you started eating it, chips were cold. Good selection of lagers though. Told us they were closing at 11 to make everyone buy loads of drinks before announcing that they were now closing at 12
Without a doubt the best bar in Southampton for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are fantastic, will go above and beyond. I honestly can't say a bad word against this place. If you want a quiet drink in Southampton, this is the place to be!
Inside didn't live up to the promises and look from the outside. Thought there'd be a good selection of craft beers, but felt more like I was in a Greene King.
Huge selection of taps and bottles, a must for beer fans! Can be quite busy but great atmosphere.
Good beer and food but has sports on, which is unfortunate, and clientele are a bit irritating at the weekends.
