I enjoyed the visit to the Hop inn on a Friday lunch time. We were third out of three tables ordering so our food took about an hour to come as only one staff member was cooking at lunch. All the food turned up at the same time, was piping hot and great quality. I had chicken tikka masala which was tasty and a very generous portion. We had a wheelchair with us, there was a small step at the entrance which was easy to navigate. And the staff were very helpful getting the table sorted. Atmosphere was not perfect as decoration was still in progress when we visited. Reasonably priced and a pensioner discount. We will visit again
Walked over for a drink and a bite to eat this lunchtime - lovely friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and lovely food though would've preferred fried onion on hot dog - good prices. Great local pub - how a pub should be! What more could you ask for??Food: 5/5
Lovely local pub, cute beer garden, cute bar staff. Lovely owners. Definitely would go back :Food: 5/5
Great pub with a fair range of well kept ales and well priced pub grub, ideal if you work up a thirst or appetite at the nearby Riverside Park.
Fantastic service well done friendly staff plenty on menu to choose food excellent
Unfortunately had to revise my 5 star review. The pub isn't what it used to be and I don't go much anymore. I live locally and get bombarded in my house with all windows closed every weekend until 11 or later with very loud music. I appreciate the new manager is trying to make the business work, but some respect for all those living nearby should be a priority.
Lovely pub! Right on the corner with a lovely atmosphere friendly and inviting. 5*Food: 5/5
Beer was awfull and warm Bar staff miserableService: 1/5
Roast dinner is so good and the price is good too .staff are very friendly Parking: Parking was ok Kid-friendliness: Had a bouncy castle in the garden
The Hop remains a decent old school two bar pub, no fussiness but pleasant decor with experienced proprietors & good staff. Pleased pubs like the Hop still exist but need everyone to support them, once they're gone they're gone.
