A great place for a great bike... run by a great guy
I always have a great experience at Sargent & Co. I really appreciate the knowledge and kindness Rob shared in helping me find a vintage bike that I absolutely love. I am also grateful for the care and expertise Rob puts into making sure my lovely bike stays in great condition.
I think this place only fixes/sells true vintage bikes. I went here to have the brakes serviced on my 2012 Dawes Dutches and the owner told me that my bike was "too modern" for him to fix. It did come across a bit like, 'I can't be bothered, go somewhere else' though...
I had such a great experience here, Rob offers a bespoke service and really cares about your bike. If there is a way to keep your bike on the road he will find it! Sargent Bikes friendly and honest service is a boon.
SUPER RUDE !!!! The guy who runs didnt even look at my face and said "sorry i dont have time" all i wanted was to book a service for my classic bike. AVOID!!!!
This is the real deal, but not your usual bike shop. Here you can find a new friend that will save your bike from cycling mishaps. A real Finsbury Park treasure!
Very knowledgeable, passionate owner. People one-starring obviously expected to be treated like gods because they own the latest carbon.
Rob's amazing passion for classic bicycles is second to none, if you serious about old racers give him a shout, if you not serious dont waste his or yours time!
Proper bikeshop for people with real bikes! I'm surprised by some reviews, he's very helpful to all that don't want free or impossible fixes on things able to be fixed. He's saved some very worthwhile pieces in the past and I have always felt welcomed and well advised. For those who want a Halfords, go to bloody Halfords.
