hello, I stopped outside this bike shop when I was having a bike problem. One of the staff kindly came out and fixed the bike for me. I booked him for a service and they were super quick and efficient and good priced. They are also open until a bit later which made it much easier to collect the bike. Local friendly local guys - amazing service and felt very comfortable in the shop - thoroughly recommend
I have been going to this store for years for all my cycling needs for my road and hybrid bikes. They are always very helpful, honest, and fast. I can trust them fully to give me sound advice at a very reasonable price. Always very friendly and dependable.
These guys are the best. I've used them few times now after a recommendation. I love their vibe, and they are absolute experts. Also, they are super trustworthy. I took my bike in yesterday for a squeaky break - turns out the wheel just needed cleaning, which they did without charge.
Had a great experience here! Took a newly purchased second hand bike in for them to review and service, they checked it all out for me and told the only thing that needed attention; they were honest and didn’t recommend a service that it didn’t need. Then they were able to clean and repair the piece in question to save completely replacing it. Very happy!
Not only are they amazingly efficient fixing any issues with my bike, but they make me leave the shop with a smile every time! Today, Pia replaced my saddle and pole, and gave a good overall check to my bike, which is looking nice and upgraded now! They made my day!
Great staff, great service. I recently had two tires replaced and my brakes serviced on my single speed at About The Bike. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and diligent in delivering a high level of service. The shop also has a decent selection of accessories and we purchased some replacement lights.
I went in initially to replace my brakes pads, and I was told that the current state of my bike was “not safe to ride daily” and if I want my bike “to work properly” I should do a full service, including replacing many other piece so it would cost £200+. I figured fair enough, as I do ride everyday and haven’t serviced it in over a year. Anyway, when I got it back I wish for my own safety I had checked it thoroughly. The very next day the front wheel came loose. Brought it to another shop and they were surprised to find that the wheel wasn’t screwed back tightly enough??? I asked them to check the back wheel as well, and same thing: not tight at all. Fast forward another 2 weeks: one of the pedal now comes off!!! So to recap, at the shop I was made to feel silly for riding a bike that “wasn’t safe”, basically coerced into over paying for a full service, then got out with a bike that was absolutely less safe then the one I brought in. It’s one thing to be rude, but rude and incompetent is a whole other thing.
Great bike shop. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, fairly priced. Got my new bike sorted in a morning and gave me loads of helpful advice. Would highly recommend.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this place if you can. Just find another shop. OR ELSE make sure you take photos of your bike before you hand it to them so you can compare it to the bike they give back to you. Examine your bike properly before you exit the shop. Do not simply trust them.
