Great service, friendly staff - and my bike rides a treat! I asked for a front fork replacement, new brake cable and a full service £105 + £48/hr + parts, but when the mech, Thomas, gave it a good going-over he determined that everything was working perfectly, so only charged me 40 quid for the front fork swap, cable and a safety check. Thoroughly recommended.
A fantastic bike store! Charlie and Thomas are both great guys and will do all they can to help you out. I've been here several times with jobs big and small and they exceed expectations every time with great advice to boot. They are by far the best in the area and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone Keep up the good work fellas =
I have been using the red bike shop for a while now and Iv been very impressed with the service. I recently had some problems with my disc brakes and they have dealt with all the warranty stuff for me. the prices are very reasonable and I don't feel that my ignorance is taken advantage of as i have in some other bike shops. in all I'm very happy and would recommend it to and of my friends. 5 stars guys thanks! Quality local bike shop. These guys are not out to fleece you and are always really accommodating. Took my road bike in after hearing an odd noise I couldn't pin down. Turned out just to be a loose spoke and they only charge a few quid to sort it. Have been back since and had the same consistently good service.
Honestly surprised at the sheer number of good reviews. They are honest and often provide cheap measures to keep bikes running, which if that's your only concern great. But they're unreliable and fixes often only temporarily fix things. They are rarely open before 9am, despite opening hours advertised as 8am, they said they would have my bike repaired while I was away required ordering parts for 2 weeks, I come back and they hadn't even ordered the part let alone fixed my bike. I know 2 other people who have a similar experience. Only use if you have to
The team are friendly, they know what they're talking about, the service is good and the price is reasonable. They've done a range of small and large jobs over the last couple of years to me and my wife's bikes and nothing seems to bother them. I would recommend them to anyone and trust their advice.
Once again very impressed with s shop. cannot recommend it enough. put my bike in for a main service and was called later the same day to be explained all of the things that needed replacing and indeed the things that did not. i felt they were very honest where other might try to sell you something you don't need. Very happy customer!
The service here is a totally different experience. At the big chains, the staff's knowledge and enthusiasm differs massively from place to place and your bike is essentially on a conveyor belt among hundreds of others. At the Red Bike Shop, I felt I was in good hands from the start. The staff go above and beyond in finding and fitting what your bike really needs. Not just what is profitable for the shop. Prices are fair and the end result has been fantastic each time. I hope everyone continues to support these guys.
I had an unusual request for a part that needed altering to fit my bike. I visited four other local bike shops, who weren't much help before I got to the Red Bike Shop. I'm happy to say that not only did Tomas mechanic find a solution and provide outstanding service, he also did the job quickly as he promised. Will definitely recommend this shop. Top marks guys!
The guys at the Red Bike Shop were really helpful on the phone and then in person. They serviced my bike same day, and called me before replacing something costly. The shop was friendly and wasn't elitist like many bike shops. I will definitely go back.
