I also ordered the Hunters chicken, but was advised that it was unavailable and should try the OTHER Rose and Crown in the nearby village of Ainsworth as they do food there. This Rose and Crown is probably one of the last proper pubs left in Bury. Possibly because it's focused on remaining a REAL pub and not trying to be a restaurant or a football terrace. It just gets on with serving a fantastic selection of real ales to it's grateful, loyal customers - old and new. There's the odd match on the telly and live music once a month, but always a fantastic atmosphere.

Great traditional "local" non pretentious homely pub good selection of real ales friendly staff open mic night 1st Thursday of the month.
