This place is absolutely beautiful, I don't understand the low stars. Everything to cleanliness to polite bar and food staff. I was made to feel very welcome. The food was cooked to perfection beer was lovely and cold. The rooms were really tidy and made presented with thought going into it. Matching curtains and pillows. USB sockets at the bedside. Nice sliding glass shower doors none of that curtain blowing touching your leg. Iron and ironing board in the rooms. I'm staying here again. Just a shame we only had one night here *****

Attended the new Goodwins aka hartwood hall last week with my family to celebrate my birthday. The decor is lovely and nicely done but not at all family friendly, it appears to be geared towards anything but families with young children. We was never offered a highchair for my 2 year old and when I asked if they had activity sheets or crayons they didn't but a young waiter did go out of his way to get us blank paper and gave his own pen up. We won't be back there as a family anytime soon and I won't be recommending it in my friends circul. The food was nice though, warm to eat and good sized portions.

Beer is far too expensive for my liking. £4.80 for a pint of lager is daylight robbery. Doesn't matter what the food tastes like after they have fleeced you like that.
