We were driving back from hospital and came upon this wonderful place. Oldie worldly with original stone building and roaring log burners...we were welcomed from the second we stepped through the door by attentive and friendly members of staff. The food was so fresh and tasty at reasonable prices. Dogs are also allowed but you must consider other customers who are dining who don't have dogs!! I love this place and can't wait to take my friends there! Thank you to all of you at the Royal Oak for making our first visit a fantastic experience.

We booked for a large party of 14 and overall the experience was pleasant. Food was quite good, if a little pricey. The staff were superb and catered for our every need. The only thing not to our liking was the Rack of Lamb which was very tough. Good ale and nice atmosphere.

Nice pub, average food, friendly staff. If you like basic traditional English pub food (gammon steak, burgers, fish and chips, prawns) you can do worse. Portions are reasonable and it's got the whole old pub vibe down to a 'T'.
