Large seated venue, ideal for large parties and families. Good kids play area, with an good child's menu with various desserts. Main menu is basic with standard quality food at reasonable prices....you get what you expect from a 'chain' establishment. Good drinks options of the usual wines and smooth/cask ales with lager choices. Outside seating a bit scruffy due to overhanging trees. Connected to the Premier Inn next door so the bar area tends to be full of 'workers' who are on jobs and staying over for the night. Hence car park can be quite full, even though it has recently been extended.

Cute place and convenient location however food is only mediocre at best. Staff do not appear to listen to customers and no extras offered such as tomatoes sauce for kids chips or tarter sauce for fish, I had to request these items twice. I ordered 2 burgers of same kind and only 1 was rung up, made and delivered to table. They were very quick to get the second burger ordered and delivered however these were for children who were very hungry, the 15 minute delay was painful to say the least. It appeared the 2 other tables near by experienced very similar delays and issues and also had to approach the bar multiple times as well no drinks were ordered. Not sure I would return to this place unless I had to.

Meal was fine. Staff were lovely. Having to pay £5 to park there ridiculous! Yes you get 2 hours free but you can't judge how long you'll be there and you shouldn't have to keep looking at your watch. They're going to lose a lot of custom with this charge...surely it should be deducted from the meal. We spent just under £60

The meal started well when they happily accommodated a table of 7 who had not booked in advance. The drinks were reasonably priced and it was a nice environment. However, here ends the positive part of the evening. We all ordered our food at the same time. My pudding, mash and green beans came out 15 minutes before anyone else's, yet it was luke warm and therefore sent back. They put the same plate of food back in the microwave and served the same food to me. The chef obviously doesn't get that meat once cooked cannot simply be reheated. I asked for a freshly prepared meal. A similarly microwaved plate came out. You aren't the cheapest pub around and the food was sub-standard. The whole episode was unnecessary if you simply cook the food when it's ordered. I don't come out to get a bloody ready meal!
