I had to share my experience on Christmas Day as this is the first time I've had Christmas Dinner out... it was absolutely superb! The hosts were enthusiastic, great with the kids and made you feel relaxed as soon as you walked in (there was a real buzz about the place anyway from the lunchtime diners!). The food and cocktails really were outstanding. If I had to be super picky I would say the bacon could've been crispier on the pigs in blankets but that really was all. I would highly recommend this place.

Had a fantastic New Years Eve meal at Eagle and Child. It was a 5 course menu and all courses were absolutely delicious. Squid ink risotto with lobster and mango - UNREAL!! The chocolate fondant dessert was also pretty special. Lovely staff too; they were really welcoming and attentive. We stayed over in one of the hotel rooms and it was perfect, great decor and facilities!! We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you for a fab trip away 😊😊

Unexpectedly upgraded on arrival to the Barn Owl suite. Beautifully appointed bedroom and bathroom with stunning views through French windows up to the Peel Tower. Extremely comfortable bed. Very impressed with a wonderful selection of complimentary snacks and drinks and a welcome postcard with a tasty recipe on the back! Breakfast hamper in the bar was delightful. We had lunch in the restaurant with family and the food and service were excellent. Every member of staff, whether front of house or passing through, was friendly, helpful and professional - a credit to Glen and and his team. We will definitely return!

Excellent food, beautiful view, waiting staff were hard working and polite. Would definitely go again.

We love this place ... amazing food and atmosphere ... and above all the staff are the star of the show here . What a great ethos ... and we are very proud of our friend Jacob xxx will continue to support without a doubt x
