It was okay. The food was good to fair, certainly nothing to complain about. Inside the place is nicely done. The staff were friendly enough but very poorly trained; no scanning tables, no steps of service at all, waited an age to order in an empty place. No check back or even offers for more drinks. More proactive staff would make this venue better.
Sunday lunch with family. Food reasonable medium Large portions which is not my thing but if that’s what your into .…….. Dry with virtually no gravy! We asked for a little more gravy please as really was not even enough to cover plate. Bill came and could not believe charged a service charge slightly cheeky BUT. £10 for extra gravy. Really !!!! This is the pics of how much gravy was served. Is this just me or is this the amount of gravy you would like on a Sunday lunch ???
We booked the firepit for our 1st wedding anniversary, it was a really nice atmosphere with very friendly staff. The only thing stopping it being 5 stars was the cost. £10 for a starter seemed a bit expensive but all in all the food was great and we had a lovely night. Kid-friendliness: We didn't bring our children but when we got there, there was about 10 families dining and we noticed a kids menu Parking: Big car park at the side
I took my wife for a nice meal out here and as we walked in the place looked smokey from the grill. We then sat down ordered drinks and from that point on things got worse. Prices were expensive so you expect quality food and service. Lots of staff standing around doing nothing while we sat and waited for drinks. The £33 mixed grill came with most of it under cooked and not as much as you would expect for that price. My wife had the vegetable kebab and again under cooked. After waiting ages we had to flag down a member of staff so we could order deserts. 25mins later 2 cookie dough and coconut ice cream deserts came. The ice cream was melted and was vanilla not coconut as it said on the menu. So all in all £89 for a bad meal with slow service. I once heard very good things about this place but I think those days are long gone.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the building was very nice, and service was great. Burger was amazing and the cocktails were lovely. Starter was a little small for the money, but excellent food and drink overall.
The food was delightful. Only problems were the vegetarian options for mains. Unfortunately, the service was mediocre as even though the staff were friendly, we went as a group of 4 and were applied a 10% service charge! It wasn't as if we ordered fancy drinks either, just 2 mocktails and I unfortunately don't know the name of one drink. The music in here was a little too loud, couldn't hear the waiters really. Other than that, an okay place to eat. Vegetarian options: 3 main meals here. Bit ridiculous. Kid-friendliness: There's a children's menu + mocktails.
However good it used to be, I now wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody. I took my wife for her birthday. We turned up early so sat at the bar tables and ordered some drinks after waiting for a waiter for 15 minutes. The drinks were made, placed on the bar where we just sat and watched them for another 20 minutes. By the time they remembered to get them to us we were presented with a flat pint and slightly warm cocktail. After this we sat and ate a meal, a good steak for me and a cold steak for my wife. We then spent 20 minutes with very clearly empty plates and another 10 minutes trying to wave down a waiter so we could just pay and leave. We were planning on having coffee and desserts but as the service was so poor we gave up. I've had better service in McDonald's. Also, there was a DJ for some reason, this was very weird who must have been booked under the premise that he was doing a deep house night. We were sat next to a speaker which made conversations nearly impossible. If there was a manager on the night, he or she was either one of the 18-20 year old members of staff and had no control or simply wasn't there. Either way, they need to question their job choice and perhaps do some more training. Also, having 2 giant bouncers stood near the front door and seeing them repeatedly scanning the room is nearly as strange as having a DJ in a restaurant. Poorly run and unsure of what it is. Avoid at all costs
We have just visited the restaurant for a girls Christmas meal out. I have to say the staff and the food was amazing. The young lady who served us was so polite and helpful took our orders quickly and cleared plates as soon as we had finished. The food was lovely. We all had steaks one on a hot stone and 2 cooked by the chef. Food was cooked to perfection piping hot. The waitress asked several times not in a bad way if we needed anything else or any more drinks. We really couldn’t fault the service or the food. All the staff had Christmas jumpers on and one was dressed as the grinch! Loved it perfect setting for the run up to Christmas. Well done everyone.
The food and drinks were all excellent, so no complaint there. The service wasn’t terrible, but it was slow and multiple times we had to get the attention of waiters to get more drinks and menus. I wouldn’t have minded if the staff were rushed off their feet, but there were literally four lads at the bar stood doing nothing for the entire 2 hours of dining. Paying those prices I expected a better service.
Overall a nice experience with a large family gathering. A few of us had the hanging kebabs which were quite expensive for what they were. Kids meal were really good value though. Everyone was happy and the staff were friendly and attentive.Food: 4/5
