I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for a bike that I could possibly get for my 2 daughters for free; it was well worth it! We received 1 bike, all the staff were lovely and the bike seems really good, a Raleigh bike. We also donated two bikes which they were really grateful for, No toilets to use close by though, I would recommend going to Morrisons before you plan to wait in the queue, for a free bike.

Popped in to get a inner tube fitted which was in fairness done straight away for me. Bike was Originally bought from here a few months ago. Was advised by the guy that my back calliper needed replacing as it was rubbing against the wheel and wheel was showing signs of wear due to this. Asked if and when they could replace it (obviously I would have been happy to pay for this) they became very unhelpful with just a dunno when we can fix it very unhelpful. Extremely helpful when purchasing the bike however if you need a repair a few months later it’s probably a good idea just to take it somewhere else. Won’t be returning to purchase another bike

Awful staffing extremely arrogant and rude staff... i had visited a day earlier to look for a rear wheel and when I found one it had a tyre with it. Asked if I could come grab it the next day which was fine... When I arrived I spoke to the same member of staff who I spoke to the day earlier and about the tyre with the price of the wheel, to which they were quite catty... not that I had any problems with not getting the tyre as all I needed was a wheel. staff didn't realise I had visited with a friend and when I went to grab the wheel from upstairs the member of staff who told me the tyre came with the wheel proceded to tell another member of staff 'jake' that I was lying about the tyre bearing in mind I didn't want or need the tyre and the member of staff was the one who created the issue in the first place... Very arrogant and undermining staff pleas e don't visit unless you want to be made to feel stupid

Great place for more specific parts that might be hard to find otherwise and as a general collection of retro (and some newer) items. It has become more expensive in the past years, but you could say the organisation has improved too. It's not to say that it is expensive now, only that it was much cheaper a few years ago, mostly for parts. It's good to know it exists and I recommend anyone looking for a cheaper, yet a thoroughly checked and refurbished bike with that "cared for second-hand gem" character or after some parts for their commuting bikes give them a try. It's helped me out many times over the years sourcing bits for the hack bikes I've had. Most recently it turned out to be the only place in Newcastle (Byker) with dropout alignment tools for a Cho-Moly hybrid fork, so I'm well happy!

Brilliant ethos and amazing range of services... Will do anything they can to help you and the prices are really good. The stock they have has a fast rotation so if you're looking for something specific, either they have it or they don't. Lovely place.
