Cycle Hub, NewcastlennI visited Cycle Hub today for a breakfast brunch and a relaxing coffee. With the lovely weather, it was the perfect time to try it, especially since they have a fantastic outdoor seating area right next to the Tyne River. The interior features modern chipboard with a chic finish, offering a contemporary yet inviting feel. The selection includes cakes, J-potatoes, and both warm and cold sandwiches. I had the bacon, brie, and cranberry sandwich along with a caramel latte, which came to £10.52. Considering the generous portion size of the sandwich, served in a soft, long roll, I thought this was very reasonable. The coffee was exceptional—creamy, smooth, and sweet, with beautiful latte art. My only feedback would be that the sandwich could’ve been a bit warmer as it felt the bacon was prepared and placed in the sandwich after but still a enjoyable sandwich.nnThe staff were incredibly friendly, both inside and out. We moved inside due to the weather, and Lynn was very welcoming, even offering a free sausage for our dog and giving her a warm greeting. This kind of hospitality goes a long way for dog owners. The gentleman who served me, though I didn’t catch his name, was also very friendly and made sure I didn’t feel rushed or pushed out.nnOverall, it’s a great stop if you’re walking along the river in Newcastle, especially if you're near Ouseburn, as it's only about 15 minutes from the start of the path. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back again.nnThey also host a hub for cyclists with a repair centre, though I haven’t used this service, so I can’t comment on it. There are toilets available, and parking is pay-and-display, managed by the local council
Always a good place to stop whilst out cycling, good coffee/ food/cakes at reasonable prices and tons of outside seating with great views on a sunny day. The only complaint is perhaps it's a tiny bit understaffed as it can take a while to get your food and the staff look run off their feet having to bring your food outside.nnExtremely handy bike mechanic shop inside for maintenance/ repairs whilst you're there too if you have any bike issues whilst out.
Stopped in for a quick lunch & enjoyed bacon butties and jacket potatoes. Coffee was good. Excellent selection of cakes available although we didn't get round to trying them. Lovely location next to the river with indoor & outdoor seating available. Huge carpark next door if you don't want to walk or cycle.
A lovely place to have a cuppa and some cake! There’s a great car park right next door, and it’s perfect for stopping off if you’re on a walk along the Quayside.
Stopped here for a quick snack before cycling to Tynemouth and loved it! The scones were absolutely delicious, and the café has a lovely, stylish vibe. The outdoor seating right on the quayside is perfect for soaking up the views. The ice cream counter looked amazing too, some really unique and tempting flavours. Will definitely be back!
