We are bicycle touring for eight weeks in the UK and Cycle Surgery in Newcastle is definitely one of our highlights. On a moment's notice they replaced a broken spoke, replaced rim tape, and replaced brake pads. And they were kind enough to oil chains thoroughly and adjust derauleurs because they wanted to make sure our last couple of weeks "went smoothly". Great attitude by employees. If I lived in Newcastle, they would be my bike store.
I can't thank the member of staff maybe the manager enough, who was so kind and came to my rescue when my bike lock jammed and I thought I would have to leave my bike attached to the cycle rack on Northumberland Street. At first he leant me some spray to try and loosen the lock and when that didn't work he came with me to my bike and managed to get the lock open. It gives me faith in humanity and the kindness of strangers. Thank you so much for exceptional service.
Good service from Cycle Surgery Northumberland St Newcastle. Ordered a bike online and collected it from the store. I was concerned about the location as there is no vehicle access to the front of the store. I was advised to collect from the rear of the store located on John Dobson St. A sales assistant helped me to load the bike into my car. The bike had been built up and checked by a bike mechanic. The main reason for purchasing from this store was a discount offered to Forestry Commission Members.
Always friendly when I'm asking stupid questions about my bike. Ordered some MTB pads in store which arrived very quickly and had a nice discount. Happy customer
Bought a Brompton S6L Black edition . Bike was checked and ready to ride out of the shop within an hour. Fantastic service and advice from Gary. Highly recommended.
Puncture on way home at 6:05pm, called in, got replacement tube fitted in 5 mins - back on the road! Excellent service and looks like a great shop, will call in again in the future!

The staff here are probably take most cheerful and friendly your likely to meet . They did a massive knob for me recently, a total strip and rebuild . Done in record time and le me know what was happening, if it was going to cost more/take longer etc . Can't fault the place. Highly recommended.
Wanted to get some information about bike chains and buy one and ended up having a 50 minute conversation with the guy, dangerous place if you're in a hurry but worth every minute you stay, fantastic place, well equipped and full of wonderful staff literally, they even do military discounts, what else you could ask for?
Came in for a missing stem bolt, walked out 2 minutes later with a new one torqued to spec. Very helpful and friendly
