After lengthy research, booked holiday in February in Poole via Airbnb, Quay Holidays were the host. Paid in full. Was told last week that due to an adminstration oversight the accommodation has been let to someone else and we can't have the property. Accommodation in Poole is now in short supply and we have very little to choose from. This is the 3rd time a note has been placed on Airbnb against Quay Holidays where have cancelled peoples bookings. One poor family had their reservation cancelled 5 days before arrival. Terrible service.

Been booking with them since 2013 as we are frequently moving around the world for business and it was a convenient way to get a decent place for a family to stay. However, I recently needed to cancel a booking for a 10 day stay. At this point I discovered that you in fact cannot cancel, only if they manage to re-let it and then they will take 25% of your money and give it to th landlord apparently. The worst thing is I had assumed my booking had not been re-let and arranged for members of my family to use it only to discover that they had intact re-let it and not told me. Throughout all the conversations that followed this, not once did anyone actually apologies. I was informed of the complex process and calculations and authorisations that had to happen. This is surprising as they are a single office in Poole and all in he same room! I was also repeatedly told how the property managers child had had an accident the day before and couldn't come to work, unfortunately my 5 year old nearly chocked to death 2 weeks ago and hasn't eaten a solid since, my wife and I are in pieces however I haven't mentioned it to any of my customers or used it as an excuse for poor service. In summary, they're fine when you don't need anything outside of the rule book, but awful when you do, I can't imagine treating my customers this way.

Almost faultless accommodation, bedrooms could be slightly bigger though.
