Arrived after 4 hours of driving to the hotel, we were informed that our booking was for 1 room for 2 nights, when in fact we had booked 2 rooms. The staff, who were helpful and courteous (the only reason this isn't a 1 star review) sorted this and gave us our keys and informed us that we must keep our keys at all times as there is nobody on site between midnight and 7am. We went to our room to discover that the bed hadn't been made, and the room not cleaned (plates of half eaten food). None of the bedroom lights worked in either bedroom and we were told to just use the bedside lamps. The cleaner turned the lamp off while we were out at a wedding, so arrived back at the hotel in the dark and had to try to turn a lamp on in an unfamiliar environment. The guests opposite us on Saturday were noisy, and obviously there were no staff to complain to. The rooms were both fairly small. The radiators were turned off (mid-November), so I had to scramble about under a desk to turn it on. The second room was single glazed and very cold.

Nice location and great atmosphere. Very good service and tasty food. Ideal if you are a fish lover, they have an extensive variety to choose from and you can even see it before you order. A bit disappointed with the size of the lobster we had served considering what you pay for (£23) and the best of British menu was misleading (prices on the mains a bit inflated) in my opinion. Having said that, I will probably come back at some point.

The place is very modern, clean and tidy, the however the rooms were very small and we found the doors during the night noisy while trying to sleep. On the plus side the bathroom, while small, had a fantastic shower. The service was very good.

Stayed here 9/7/14 We stayed in room 8at the top of the building good size clean good bathroom .Air conditon unit supplied as room quite hot great location for beach and sandbanks top food and service very good lunch set menu great value Graham

Spectacular breakfast nearly made up for the meh room.
