Perfect location in the centre of Glasgow. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Staff was extremely accommodating, helpful and always smiling :- we had a family room, everything was clean and nice. The only thing that would be good to have was a fridge. Other than that it was all a good experience for a very reasonable price. We were allowed to store our luggage before check in and after checkout for no extra cost, so we could make the most of our holiday. Highly recommend and would stay again.
Just stayed two nights in Buchanan Galleries Premier Inn. Disappointed we were on the 18th floor especially as we booked at least 6weeks ago!! On the second night our key card didn't work and we had to trek down 16 floors to reception as couldn't access lift got new key card only to find it wouldn't open bedroom door, again I had to trek down 16floors left husband at top this time....he has two replacement knees! anyway boy cut new key but decided to escort me back up when we reached top he went in the opposite direction to me I called him back only for him to say he printed 1803 on key we were 1811 so yes another key had to be cut!! he did however access our room with a master key and sent a girl with replacements!! I am 75!! and after 2 trips down 16 floors I can tell you my legs know all about it!! Apart from that long winded saga the Galleries is very well situated we were attending granddaughters graduation and location was ideal so no complaints there. I have stayed in many Premier Inns and I thought The Galleries just didn't come up to the mark of some others. The entrance is a bit scruffy litter etc, the dining room a bit tired tables sticky as surfaces has been cleaned off and if you get a seat at the window looking out on a very littered walk way round the building is not pleasant. Our room was a bit claustrophobic with non opening long narrow window, no ventilation, had difficulty working shower.....but that could just be me ! On the plus side staff were very polite and helpful.. .even boy who got our room number wrong! A final word....it was not particularly cheap to stay here and belive it or not I do not normally write dissatisfied reviews! We had a fantastic time with family during our stay unfortunately our accommodation did not come up to scratch
After multiple delayed, cancelled and missed flights and buses myself and my partner found ourselves stranded in Glasgow city centre this weekend, with no where open to shelter until the next bus the following morning, the amazing staff at the Buchanan galleries premier inn offered us a helping hand and went Absolutely above and beyond to help us out when no one else would!! we had been travelling for two days and the staff got us a little room to rest in for an hour or two which just that act of kindness made our trip completely worth it!! They asked for nothing in return and made us feel so welcome, we have stayed here previous to this and 100% will be back for sure after this moment!! Rooms: The room they gave us was spotless and they made it perfect for us to just rest for a little while Safety: Very safe hotel, especially being in the city centre it’s nice to have somewhere so secure amongst all the Saturday night chaos Food & drinks: The staff got us something to drink immediately and made sure we felt totally welcome
The room was quite good for the price for one night. It was clean and spacious. Check in and out processes were smooth. Very near the bus interchange and other amenities. However, the free Wifi was non-existent and cellular reception was very poor inside. If this aspect is improved, I would say it would have been perfect.Rooms: 5/5
Me and my mother visited Scotland for the day, and struggled to carry around our heavy bags, after finding a way to store our bags for a small price at most hotels, we picked this premier inn for the convenience of location. From the few times we went in to drop off our bags, and collect, the different staff who greeted us were so lovely and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. This made our trip so much easier, especially since we had traveled a long way, and were visiting under sad circumstances. My mum and I agree we would look to stay here in future, just purely off the welcoming atmosphere the staff brought us. Recommended to all! And a big thanks to the people working here. Walkability: Right by the bus station and in the middle of town
We paid for the best room but we certainly didn't get it, carpet stained missing towels basic tea, coffee, charged is £10 to go to room early, only to he to go down and get towels.Room not serviced unless you ask. On the whole will look for other accommodation. Food & drinks: Limited food on offer in the evening, which was blamed on delivery not arriving !!
A very pleasant stay, no complaints about the room, service was very good and a realistic time to have to clear your room. Only negative, although the food was very good, the menu choice is very limited for dinner. Will definitely stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Overnight stay before going on holiday. Ordered food, service was slow, girls running about like headless chickens not really having a clue what they were doing. The meals came and the fish and chip were burnt, complained and was told that's how they need to be. Fresh chips were brought but they were still burnt. The guy who brought the food was not interested one bit Food & drinks: Burnt
One night for a gig. Very handy for bus station and 10 mins walk from train station. Quiet rooms. No traffic noise. Twin beds comfy enough. Tea and coffee facilities ok. Mate said checking in was hectic as the self check in machines were broken.... Good for the money.
This was our second time staying here. We love the location. All encounters with the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Especially Katie in the dining room! Beds were so comfortable that I slept better than at home.Rooms: 5/5
