Story

4 star city centre hotel newly refurbished and rebranded, with 300 spacious bedrooms, 16 dedicated meetings spaces, Juvenate Health and Leisure Club, new concept restaurant Brisket and Cask Bar.

We have over 200 parking spaces situated underneath the hotel and are close to Glasgow Central and Queen Street train stations as well as Cowcaddens Subway.

Rooms were okay One of the concierge was helpful. My biggest complaint is when we stayed there was the fire alarm system was malfunctioning and we didn't get much sleep. All the hotel would offer was points no reembercement. I was traveling with an elderly person that has mobility issues and 2 stories of stairs is difficult for her to handle, when have to evacuate the building. The fire alarm went off at least 8 times in 2 hours. I paid over $500 for 2 rooms and didn't get to sleep for more than 4 hours in them. I am not happy about this stay, the WORST STAY IN A HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!
Good location. Friendly check in. Decent sized rooms. Clean and calm. Just FYI the spa doesn’t have a sauna as advertised, been closed for a while. Hilton should update their website because decisions to stay here was based on spa facilitiesRooms: 5/5
Had an event in this location - lovely hotel, lovely reception staff Unfortunately, whoever was dealing with the lights in one of the rooms on the evening of the 1st day of the event decided it was a good idea to help themselves to some of our sweets we had stored behind the stall. Granted, this didn’t cost much, but considering we’d left all of the stock there overnight ready for the following day, it’s not great knowing that someone has been been behind it and had a look around; especially since we don’t sell sweet and it was for us as the vendors! Disappointed.
- location is great - most of the staff are friendly especially Liam, thanks a lot. - rooms are spacious, but they are not the cleanest - toilets need major refurbishment, we stayed in 2 rooms. - Hotel needs proper maintenance - There are two lifts in the hotel; one of them is out of service since long time and the other one is not working all the time. My room at 6th floor so sometimes it took 20 min to get into the room. - breakfast is very basic, same exact items everyday- no single change - executive lounge is the poorest comparing to other Hilton lounges I have been. - they charged me two transactions by mistake and it took a while to refund them. Make sure you avoid giving them your credit card details - value to money: 3/5
Lovely hotel has everything swimming pool , gym and recreation. Large room and all amenities. The location is good and our room was very clean and tidy. Especially thank the front desk team which is very sincere and efficient.Rooms: 5/5
Was at an event here so cannot comment on the rooms. The event space was well maintained and very nicely decorated. Exterior is clean and tidy. Reception, bar areas and toilets are also very clean and tidy. The food was delicious and provided as part of the event. Drinks were a little expensive but expected at this type of hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. They have their own discounted car park to the rear of the building and there is also a more expensive council run car park next door.
Stayed with my partner about a month ago and unfortunately left some items behind a Kindle and some glasses. Our fault ultimately, however we informed the hotel immediately and have never received any follow up on the items despite chasing several times. We are certain they were left there and therefore can only assume they went missing after cleaning, or nobody has checked the lost and found still. Disappointed in the service. Would happily have paid for postage of the items ourselves.
I had an excellent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton! The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were great. Special thanks to Liam at reception for his outstanding service. He was welcoming, efficient, and incredibly helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommend! Walkability: Amazing location; you can get anywhere in the city center on foot Food & drinks: Great breakfast options!
Well located hotel for sightseeing and driving in. Car park attached to the hotel and with a lift to the lobby, good price at £15 for 24hrs. Rooms were surprisingly large and quiet for a city centre hotel, great to have two armchairs in the room rather than the usual one. Decor was quiet and contemporary, the beds large and comfortable. We didn't eat in but the restaurant and bar looked very popular. If you need anything, there's a Tesco Express not far, plus lots of cafes etc.
I was there for Comic Con, and the hotel staff were very courteous and smiling all the time, which I know is hard to do with the public. Toilets were clean, and the areas taken over by the event were spacious and easy accessible wheelchair access. I can't star the rooms as I wasn't an overnighter stayer.
