The windowless room was very modern. Even though it was small, it was efficient and cozy. The LED lighting gave it a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. It was clean and a nice location. I would definitely stay again!Rooms: 5/5
The rooms are small, clean and affordable. Unfortunately the AC unit installed in each room will hum all night and cannot be turned off fully. I'm sure this is because my room is windowless but I'd rather sleep than have my room at a perfect 22°c to be honest.Rooms: 1/5
Our stay at Point A was perfect. We stayed 3 nights and our room/bathroom was immaculate. the bathroom was more spacious than the room itself but they worked hard to use all the space. As budget travelers, we highly appreciated the free and abundant breakfast included when booking directly through the hotel. Reception was friendly and super helpful with helping get a package picked up while I was out.
Nice contemporary hotel about 10-minutes of walk from Glasgow Central train station; close to all shopping. The breakfast is not hot breakfast, it serves croissants, cereals, boiled eggs and fruits. No daily room service. They provide fresh water infused with fresh lemon. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff.Rooms: 4/5
An excellent hotel with an excellent location. The two major railway stations and the bus station are also very close. The furnishings of the room are average, the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was nice.Rooms: 5/5
The front desk service was lovely and the hotel is in a great location, but the rooms were not good. The window did not shut properly and it was so noisy on the street at night. Upon arrival I found the room was not cleaned well streaks on the mirrors, dust, dirty duvet, clogged sink drain, half empty soaps which was really disappointing and off putting. No kettle. Rooms were only cleaned every three days as well. If cleanliness can be improved it would have been a better experience.
The hotel was perfect location for exploring Glasgow. We were able to walk to our concert and explore the rest of the city during the days. The room was small for two sharing - great if you are on your own. No window was strange and upset my sleep pattern. No kettle in room was a disappointment.Rooms: 2/5
The reality is this place is a hovel. Dirty hallways, filthy paint on the walls and the bedrooms are like rabbit hutches with odd airplane style flip down shelves. The breakfast is the worst part. I was told I had to go to reception to get a coffee, no hot food just some croissants and weetabix. Dreadful. This is the follow up to this review. I came back from dinner with my girlfriend and the reception staff were aggressive because I wanted to get to my room. They wouldn’t let me upstairs to my room and then threatened me with a “police escort”. Apparently being English is a crime here. The police came, I showed them the video I took of the staff being rude and aggressive and I was allowed to stay. Not before security came to my room and tried to kick me out. Luckily I made a silent video of how rude the staff were, which saved me from sleeping on the streets for the night. Once I have uploaded the video to YouTube I will post a link here for your perusal. My advice is you should stay at any other hotel rather than this one
Brilliant location. Very friendly team who are so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spotless and very modern. Everything you could need and want. Highly recommend Rooms: Very modern and clean. Everything you could need. Walkability: 5 minute walk into City Centre and train station. Great access to local bus routes.
We booked “cosy double” with window for 3 nights. Pros: 1 Central location 2 Affordable Cons: 1 Rooms are way too small to open and keep a single trolley. Space is there below beds but it doesn’t work if you need your trolley daily. 2 At breakfast, there were nuts in a jar. When asked the staff for that, she told “those are just for display”. What the heck is that. 3 Cleaning is only for every 3 days. But we asked for just dustbin cleaning after 2 days. They denied it. We had to empty the dustbin ourselves. I wouldn’t go for it again
