The best way to describe it is one word, fine. The bed is comfortable enough, the shower is okay and everything is clean. For the price you really can’t complain. Good location, right near a few car parks and a few shops. It is just fine. Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. Rooms: They’re just fine. Minimal, but fine. They’re clean and have working shower ensuit. Safety: Very safe, locks on all the hotel doors obviously but also the downstairs main door requires a key card or a buzzer to reception which is 24 hours. Walkability: Easy to walk anywhere in the city really, weather that be walking to an underground station to get a bit further out but everything you need including shops and car park are within a 2 min walk, if that.
Stayed 7 nights at this place with a friend. Pros: -The place was clean, and because we stayed more than 3 days, we had housekeeping services halfway through our stay. -The front desk staff were really kind. They patiently answered all our questions and overall very helpful. -They had a free water filling station at the reception. -location was amazing, everything was within 10-15min walking distance bus to airport, train station, restaurants, grocery store, main square, bus tour pick ups Cons: -The rooms were extremely minimalist, only the bare essentials - just a bed, one light it was def not enough light for the room and no other furniture like a nightstand for charging phones, water bottle or anything. -The bathroom was tiny, like barely able to turn around in there without knocking something over or touching the walls/sink/toilet. -The lift was out of service for about 4/7 nights. We were on the 4th floor so had to lug my suitcase 4 floors at 4am on departure day. Not a fun experience given I had a bad ankle.
Well, let’s see. The stairs are battered, cold, and cheerless. The room, also paint-chipped and shabby, has no chair, no phone, no desk, no room for more than a cabin bag, and no window; it’s distressingly claustrophobic. There is no discernible soundproofing. The loo was not cleaned after the previous guest yikes. The rickety plastic bathroom is so tiny that you can’t turn around between sink and shower. Sink: the hot water has an alarmingly sulphurous smell, and the cold water tastes like death. Shower: all the strength of a watering can; the clinging cloth curtain detaches from its rings at the lightest touch. The TV remote is smeared with nameless greases, and the TV takes no orders from it. I was blessed with pitch black smear-stains on my “fresh” bath mat, and it took two separate complaints to get my room cleaned at all. Oh, and, in this four-floor hotel, the lift has now been out of service for a full EIGHT DAYS. Yuck. This isn’t “budget”, this is slovenly and nasty. Spare yourselves.
We had an excellent experience here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us a choice to choose the room but we decided to stay in the one that was offered. Best location, I was attendning a conference which was a 7 minute walk and the train station is a 10 min walk. Access to major retail shops and sights in Glasgow Central! Thanks
On the plus side, the room was clean and the staff were friendly. The location is great. On the other hand, the room was tiny, maybe 7ft square, very basic. The toilet/shower is tiny, like a toilet on a plane. If you have a shower the next person using the toilet will get wet feet. We turned off the aircon at night, but there was still constant sound from the ventilation system. I understand the philosophy of keeping it simple and cheap, but there is a limit. I wouldn’t stay here again. Next time I’ll spend the extra £20 and get something more comfortable. Noteworthy details: Tiny rooms and toilets. Ventilation noise. Lack of facilities. No breakfast option.
If you are looking for a place to just sleep and get ready for the day, this is a good one. No frills but the staff were very kind and willing to give extra towels and pillows if you just ask! The bathroom is a bit tight and the beds aren’t the greatest, but overall it gets the job done!Rooms: 3/5
We were given a room into which we had to climb to get in. We are 68 and 69 so it was wholly inappropriate. The was 2 coathangers for both of us. No shelf. Not even for an alarm clock. We complained but were told there wasn't another room available. The following day, another receptionist knocked on our door and said we would be upgraded to a slightly larger room it was bigger but not by much. Only one of us would have to climb into bed. 'Edit' Can you explain the lift being out of service and causing a great amount of effort for us Read the room sizes before you book. Basic is an exaggerated term for this place. I would never use easyhotels again. Rooms: Small . No more than 2 coat hangers.
Got a business stay at easyHotel Glasgow and found a great customer service in here. Staff was lovely any time of day and night and I had a great sleep in modern design rooms. Will definitely keep as place to return at for any further trips to Glasgow
Great place to stay while seeing Glasgow. Don't expect any amount of luxury. Tiny rooms with tiny bathrooms. This is merely where you will sleep while adventuring in the city. There is no space to be social in the rooms and no real gathering area in the hotel either. The location is fantastic with several food options within a block and the whole of Sauchiehall available with a longer stroll. There are multiple subway entrances within walking distance.
Room was cute, the bathroom was small but it had everything we needed. Staff really nice and friendly. The receptionist blonde lady from Denmark if I’m not wrong was so lovely and helpful, she remembered us and asked how our experience was. Also, the position of the hotel is great, very central and close to many shops and main roads. Brilliant!
