Never stayed at such a quirky and different type of hotel before. Rooms were compact but have a huge bed and everything was controlled on iPad. Nice touch with mood colours too. Breakfast was varied and fresh and had everything from hot to cold choices. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and the easy check in and check out process on self service machines was smooth.
One of my favourite hotels. Cannot believe what you get for the price. The rooms are beautiful. I love the tablet that controls everything, it is such a nice touch. It's really close to Glasgow central train station and close to lots of shops and food places. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are lovely and friendly. I will 100% be returning.
The hotel is minimalistic and modern. You check yourself in, but the instructions are simple. Luckily there’s someone there to help you. It’s also located next to the Glee, which has stand up comedy shows. So that’s a big plus!
Wasn't a bad hotel. I was put here for a business trip fir 2 weeks. No iron in your room is a bit of a nightmare. Had to queue 45 minutes one evening to use the iron on my floor. No tea or coffee facilities in your room which as a solo female traveller meant leaving your room at all sorts of time to get a drink. Rooms were nice and the pad to control your room was cool. Breakfast was pretty good. But no hashbrowns! The staff were really friendly and helpful!
Great location, friendly staff, and easy self check-in/out. The room was OK and generally clean. However, I noticed thick dust on some light fittings and the surface of the wall above the bed.Rooms: 3/5
I want to kill myself after staying here on vacation. I couldn’t get a good nights rest for over a week the Aircon was junk and it stayed hot in my room which meant I would sweat nonstop and could not drink enough water to stay hydrated? The lack of sleep destroyed my mental health. And kept me from wanting to go anywhere or do anything. The whole point of being on vacation was get away from all the stress back home. Now I’m just want death. They don’t even have fans to help cool the rooms. It’s more like a sauna than a hotel room. They don’t even have window you can open! What happens if the power goes out?! Dumb design after dumb design. Just so I can use an iPad? No thanks. This place was a recommendation from an investor friend of mine who had stayed at a different citizen and thought I might like it. Which before I tried to sleep seemed nice. But know I know this place is just lipstick on a pig. There’s no way in hell I would invest four billion into this company. I would spend 4 million to-tear it down. I’m gonna have to spend a lot of money to get my mental health back. It’s cheaper to buy bullets. Just kill me and get it over with! Sleep deprivation is against the Geneva convention. So stop torturing me and just kill me!!!
Functional, minimilistic and modern. The rooms are of minimal size with very limited storage space; one under the bed drawer and a small recess for hanging clothes that accommodates no more than 4-5 jackets. Our double room had a king sized bed that took up 40% of the room. A frosted glass enclosure housed the shower and toilet while the wash basin was adjacent to the bed. The lighting, heating, air-conditioning, tv, window blinds and wake up alarm were all remotely controlled on the rooms dedicated ipad. The walkable floor space was probably no more than 3 square meters. The communal areas are designed to allow you to work privately or meet in groups. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the staff more than usually courteous. Checking in and out is super easy on the computers in reception and does not require queueing. The single restaurant and bar is open 24/7.
Typical CitizenM - classy look, top notch furnishings, brilliant feel to the place. Was only in to meet some friends so can't speak for the rooms or the food, but service was also first class. Not in a bad part of time, and you have the whole of the town at your finger tips, but not the kind of location where you want to go for a cultural walk
It was a very nice room and location. But a had an item go missing from my room a book that was left on the bed when I left for lunch. I asked that my room not be cleaned, which it was not. So, there was no reason for anyone to be in the room. When I checked out and tried to inform the front desk, there was no one there to speak with. The book can be replaced but it didn’t make for a peaceful stay knowing someone may have been in my room without my knowledge
Greatly designed hotel, rooms are slightly small but the technology around them and the control-all ipad, with a big comfy bed makes it up. The breakfast was really good quality though i wish you had poached eggs/haggis/potato sconesand really good teas and coffees but mostly, the hotel service was top notch friendliness and professionality. Standing out, the service of the concierge Daniele was outstanding in his helpfulness and kindness.He was really knowledgeable and helpful, giving us some good tips on how to make our stay better. The lounge areas were very cool too, wish i had had more time to enjoy them!
