We had two double bed rooms facing to the main street. Perhaps there are other rooms which are nice and clean, ours were close to a real nightmare. The mold growth in the shower immersed the entire room in an unbearable stench. Heavy condensation formed between the window panes, which also caused considerable mold growth. We were advised to close the window from evening to morning due to the midges, which was not possible in one of the two rooms. At least the mattresses were quite ok and the location is close to everything, which is not that difficult in Portree. One of the most expensive and by far the most unpleasant hostel I have ever stayed in.
By far the nicest hostel we stayed in while ins Scotland. Amenities and rooms looked recently renovated and were very nice. Beautiful view of the loch right from the seating area. Very nice staff.
Crowded rooms which have bunkbeds that are only suitable for a child with the narrow ladders and climbing spaces.nnWe had a larger, long bathroom which was a good change of pace from smaller ones I have seen. The whole hostel was noisy because of the people, but I guess some people just don't care about others.nnThe location of the hostel is prime, right in the center of Portree. With a beautiful view onto the Red and Black Cuillin mountains.
This hostel was nice and had a lovely view. There was an en-suite bathroom with a shower. We were mainly just here for the night, but the beds were comfy and the location was perfect. Very friendly staff.
Great location right on the water. Nice place to watch sunrise. I stayed in a private double ensuite room with ample heat and hot water.
