Great central location, room was spacious enough for a family of 3. They were mindful to provide a smaller single bed for our 7yo child which was well appreciated. The only issue was that the AC was literally a fan, zero cooling whatsoever. Till the time we checked out it was never fixed, we were given a table fan as a consolation. Nearby activities: Literally everything was a stone strow away or a small brisk walk Walkability: Literally everything was a stone strow away or a small brisk walk
Very nice and cozy hotel, located right on the train station. Excellent location esp when you're traveling by train. The hotel is part of old building but modern internally with all facilities. Rooms are spacious and feature a separate sitting area with separate TV and it gives you a feeling like you're in studio apartment. Very clean and modern. The only downside is lack of health club/pool. Rooms are very quiet and sleep quality is great. Even though you're adjacent to train station but there's absolutely no trains noise. Location is excellent with historic city center at stone's throw.
Beautiful hotel, huge room and great view. The bed was amazing so comfy and the whitest, thick, crispy sheets I have ever slept on. Would stay again just for the bed. Great location just off the Central station and easy walking to shops and restaurants. The champagne bar on the first floor was very decadent too.Rooms: 5/5
Excellent service from check in to check out by the clerks, concierge, breakfast staff and housekeeping. Beautiful old hotel with a "grand" feel to it and a lot of history. Room was super comfortable and clean. Bed was great. Breakfast was fantastic. Great location. Top notch all around, would totally stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
Lived in Glasgow for many years but never stayed at this hotel. Stayed here with my sister which she’d booked as part of a birthday present for me. We had a double double room and it was amazing. So spacious, well equipped, spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable beds ever. Despite being in the city centre on a Saturday night the room was really quiet. The staff are amazing. The reception staff on checking in and out were so friendly. The service in the champagne bar was excellent - we had some lovely cocktails, served quickly. And at breakfast we were greeted quickly and had a really tasty breakfast from a very well stocked selection. Overall couldn’t fault this hotel in anything.
Building was beautiful. Rooms were spacious, bathroom was small/awkward in one of our rooms. Breakfast was inconvenient to get to, but had a great variety on the buffet. Location was grand and extremely convenient to clockwork orange metro and lots of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. Service/staff were wonderful and very friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Rooms: We had two rooms both with double beds. One with a lovely sitting area and small awkward bathroom, and the other had no sitting area, but did have a larger spacious bathroom. Two complaints of beds of being on the firm side. Nearby activities: Metro to get you anywhere. Horseshoe bar with karaoke upstairs every night, many other bars, restaurants, and the theatre district in close walking distance proximity. Food & drinks: Buffet breakfast was only meal we ate. Had coffee machine with good selection of milk alternatives, juices, and food such as eggs scrambled, fried, or poached if asked for, potatoe scones, meat and meat alternatives, tomatoes, mushrooms, yogurts, and bread and pastries, and pancake machine.
Looks amazing, rooms are beautiful and beds are very comfortable. The hotel has such a cool vibe to it, and its location can't be beaten. I found reception staff to be pleasant and professional. However, the same can't be said about the cleaning staff. We faced a hostile cleaner who did not do anything except for making the bed. Also room keys are terrible and I had to constantly go back down to ask for replacements.
I just love staying at this hotel, I don't book anywhere else now. Staff are amazing. Got checked in by Dylan today, what a lovely knowledgeable staff member. He should be a credit to his team! Breakfast is the best I've ever tried stayed in 20+ hotels in Glasgow and this place wins hands down. Great location, great staff, great food overall a fantastic hotel for a getaway.Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone, you will not be dissapointed!
We have stayed before and come back because its such a lovely central hotel. Staff are very knowlegable and friendly. The rooms have modern decor and are very clean. Complimentary water, tea and coffee and biscuits was a nice touch. Lovely cosmetic products in the bathroom. We didnt have the breakfast this time but have done before and its very good with alot of choice.
An old hotel, obviously had been very glamorous back in the day. Nice large room, clean and very good breakfast. Need to sort their website to ensure people know they can eat in the champagne bar. Nearby activities: Right in the centre of Glasgow. Great location for everything Walkability: Close to bars restaurants, taxis right outside, rail station next door and easy walk to bus station Food & drinks: Champagne bar expensive, but expected. Breakfast had very good options, but could have had a bit more vegan.
