Story

The Orrell Park Hotel, situated in Orrell Park, is a family-run hotel that has housed guests since 1971. Ideal for visitors to Liverpool, the hotel is a short 12-minute journey on the Liverpool Metro to Liverpool City Centre.

Since our 2013 refurbishment we have gone from strength to strength and are currently rated by our guests (as of November 2017) as #4 out of 74 B&Bs in Liverpool on TripAdvisor.

We stayed at the Orrell Park Hotel mid-week while we attended a wedding. The staff were very accommodating during booking when I mentioned that we would need to check in early if possible. When we arrived earlier than check in time, we managed to get keys which would let us into the hotel at night so no issues there. When we got back to the hotel at night, we found our room easily and it was nice and clean. There was also a kettle and all you needed to make your own tea and coffee, as well as some biscuits. We had a good sleep and enjoyed a hot breakfast downstairs the next morning. One night only cost around £75 which included the breakfast, so good value for money.
Highly recommended. Clean and tidy throughout. Rooms and beds are comfortable. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The food in the tapas bar and grill is lovely. All cooked to order. Had a lovely evening meal breakfast was with good quality ingredients. Be aware that morning rush hour traffic is extremely heavy due to duff traffic lights on a narrow bridge. It took us over 45 minutes to drive the 2 miles for a hospital appointment. Other that we had a lovely stay and would certainly come again. Food & drinks: Really nice, good range of choice
Very nice staff,we had dinner there as well. The food was good. Only a short walk to the railway station. We would stay there again if we're going to Liverpool.Rooms: 3/5
Room was basic and old fashioned but the service and the restaurant were marvellous. Very good value for money. Would stay again.Rooms: 3/5
We stayed in a very spacious room in this hotel for 1 night. The hotel is not a big purpose-built building but a big house conversion . It was warm and additional oil heater provided. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuit were in the room along with kettle. Hair dryer was available and iron board is available on request . Beds were good but mattress was too soft and uncomfortable for me due to either the spring type or age of it . Free hot and continental breakfast was available but only from 8:30 in the morning on weekends, but the hotel staff got this ready by 8am upon request. Free parking for up to 6 cars available at the rear of property. A small bar and lounge also there . Staffs were good and helpful but smiling faces could be better. The bathroom was very clean dry and spacious but the shower pressure was low . As this property is next to a busy road I could hear sound every car and pedestrians on road. Good value for money if you could get a nice sleep.
We stayed here two years ago but felt this time the rooms needed some attention. Shower head far too small. Hairdryer kept cutting out and hadn’t been PAT tested as is a law in a hotel. Left towels on floor on first morning and they weren’t changed at any time during our 3 night stay. Decorations need attention. On Sunday no room service so no clean cups! The breakfast was excellent and a bonus that we could park the car and five minutes to train station
What a gem. Outside of the main city centre, this is a great little, privately owned hotel you simply don't get anymore in Liverpool. The owner offers such great service, and is such a warm host. I can't recommend this place high enough.Rooms: 5/5

The staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the local area. They provided excellent service standards. I had to visit Aintree Hospital and they helped to order a taxi and provided clear instruction. The bar area and common room are clean, tidy and have a good atmosphere. The hotel room was clean, clear and of a high standard. The bathroom had been cleaned thoroughly and bedding felt fresh and comfortable. I got the breakfast time wrong and staff accommodated toast and preserves with friendliness and were polite and exceptionally kind to do so. I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely stay again in the future.
