For the price you can't go wrong. Friendly staff, very large hotel with many many rooms. Clean and the bedrooms are well kept. Local parking right next door and over the road. I paid £20 for 24 stay. Right next to the train station I would say about a 6-10 min walk. Would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
Very picturesque and old hotel near the university area and Lime Station, cheap and familiar. Personnel is absolutely lovely, they help you if you need! Very quiet area and reception 24h. It was a very nice stay!Rooms: 4/5
Booked this hotel as it was close to local bars and nightlife and has a car park on the same street - location definitely didn’t disappoint. Staff were really friendly and room was ok based on first impressions. However during the night got awoken by a strong smell of mould and damp in the room. The pillows had a strange scent to them, and upon investigating found each of the pillows to be heavily stained. Also n If your a bunch of lads looking for a cheap place to rest your head I’d recommend this hotel. If you where on a romantic getaway or have high standard I’d avoid this hotel.
A very basic hotel, no lift, torn curtains, grubby cushions and no access at all until check in. It's shabby, very old fashioned and the heaters don't work. The staff were friendly, hard working and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Cheap and right next to the station and theatre.
Very friendly welcome. Rooms were good size, clean and comfy beds. Only issues were ground floor lobby toilets were out of order. The lift was also out of order and we needed to get to the 3rd floor up some steep stairs. The friendly welcome continued in the morning with a complimentary breakfast. Can't fault it. Good value for money.
On arrival i was greeted by James, a happy, funny friendly scouser who was full of banter. My room 123 was fine, only fault heater did'nt work friendly staff again provided me straight away with a portable heater, my room was lovely and warm when I returned from the theatre. Excellent location for everything, theatres, lime street station and Wetherspoons all on your door step. Only fault, water took a while to heat in the shower, and constant noise till 2am, for 2 hours from other people. NOT HOTELS FAULT! Friendliest helpful staff ive met in a hotel.! Well done guys.! Rooms: Single room everything you need, good size tv! Nearby activities: Theatre Lime St Pubs Shops
Dated and neglected Lift doesn't work beds too small, well the one I slept in was, although the linen was fresh, Bathroom was like a Disabled wet room really uninviting. Bfast only served on Saturday and Sundays ok if your desperate and need an early train from Lime Street, but thats what you get for £25 a night
The positives first- good location in terms of proximity to the station and other amenities. Downside to this is the noise. There was a lot of noise that woke me up at night. The single room I was in wasn't too great. Very small, and had a strong mouldy smell. No window. Just one charging point away from the bed. In terms of toiletries, just a shower gel. But it had a huge TV with many channels! There is a free continental breakfast. The food was average. At present, their card machine is not working. So they need payment in cash. That's good to keep in mind. Steep, narrow stairs. If you are looking for a quick stay near the station and nothing too fancy, you can go for it. I would say, considering the quality of accommodation, it ought to be much cheaper. Service was fine, no complaints but looking at the weird and extremely rude responses to any feedback online, I am afraid that good impression is also ruined.
It is a good value for money place to stay. Good location near a train station. I used the Agora app and I paid only £23 per night. Unfortunately the lift didn't work and I didn't get the room with the City view. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Very clean hotel. Need some upgrading but you can't complain when you pay a small price. I will definitely be back. Rooms: Basic economy class. Nearby activities: Near the train station and art galleries. Food & drinks: Luck of breakfast
Good afternoon, I booked this hotel for a weekend away for a birthday celebration and we was looking forward to it. However from the moment we got there it was a disaster and traumatising. When we first arrived we was informed that the lift was out of order and we would have to to use the stairs, this was horrendous as the stairs were very narrow, steep and unsafe. Then we got into the room and went to shut the door and the door wouldn’t shut as the lock was broken and needed to locked for it to be closed. I in formed the lady in reception and she came up and tried to fix it, she then had made it worse as she had taken the lock off and we was locked out the room and you could only open it from the inside. We then went out and she said she would call someone to fix it and she would call me when it’s all fixed. This was then fixed however it wasn’t to a good standard and wasn’t safe. The lock was hanging off, to top it off we then opened the windows and there was no lock on them and anyone had access getting in through the window. The room it self was basic, uncomfortable, un welcoming and unsafe! There was cracks on the ceiling with link marks all over the walls and ceiling. We then move on to the Saturday night where we had more people joining us who also stayed in the same hotel. My mum arrived at the hotel and went to open the door to her hotel room and the radiator was hanging off the wall. So I went downstairs explained to the receptionist what had happened and that would like a new room. The lady came up and checked and gave us keys to a new room where we got to the new room and there was mould all over the place and the bathroom door didn’t shut properly. I would like to add the staff were lovely and tried their best to help. Rooms: Horrible Safety: No safety
