Rooms are basic, not up to standard of other Premier inns. I had to change rooms as the TV wouldn't work. The girl on reception was very helpful but was unable to fix it. TVs are small. The bathrooms are tired and have black mold around seals. The WiFi doesn't work if your away from the router. Would only pick up upstairs and not downstairs options and would not connect. Didn't visit carvery as didn't fancy roast when it's 24 degrees and not open early enough for breakfast for me 8am thats when i start work Short walk to some other chain restaurants/fast food. It was OK for 1 night, wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.
Basic room, but pleasant enough, location is excellent for what we wanted, and right next to aintree races. Toby carvery next door for breakfast, and more shops within a very short walking distance.Rooms: 4/5
Staff were great and helpful but rooms are not a great standard. Every other premier Inn in the UK has been refurbished and you can expect a certain good standard across the UK except Aintree unfortunately. This has not been refurbed, small TV, one socket other side of room, bathroom aged. For £82 for the night I would of expected more. Positives were clean and front of house staff were great
Rooms are the usual standard - clean but basic. Breakfast is not available within the hotel, but is served at the adjacent Toby Carvery from 7am. Staff are friendly and helpful. I find this a bit strange, but guests are requested to leave their keys with reception when leaving the hotel. Made me a little concerned for security given that I walked in and claimed my key without having to prove identity
Incredibly basic accommodation which is the idea, of course, offset by very friendly staff without prompting, they put extra sheets and a fan in the room to fight the stifling heat; and they dropped in my bags as I had to run to another appointment. There are posters on the walls at the entrance to every floor with a child holding a finger to her lips. The title is something like 'Shhh. People sleeping.' There's also a purple cover sheet at the bottom of the bed, which goes one step further. It has 'Good night guaranteed' written on it. Both are marketing fantasies, rather than workable claims; even though I was exhausted, I was kept awake by a rowdy and inconsiderate crew staggering back from the pub in middle of the night. Breakfast over the road is provided by the Toby Carvery with the accent on well cooked stodge- known euphemistically as 'Full English'- but not much else. Coffee is a constantly replenished filter variety from a bulbous hot plate jug, 1980s style. But it's well done, and the staff are extremely pleasant. So bring your ear plugs and loosen your belt.
OMG the room was OK and very basic for an overnight stay, but went across to the Toby inn for a meal and probably the worst meal I have ever eaten. The veg were so dried up unrecognisable.Saying that the staff were brilliant, first time I have ever been offered a glass of water when I didn't want a drink.Decided not to go across for breakfast.
Premier Inn right beside Aintree race course. No bar or restaurant but there is a Toby carvery right next door. A KFC nearby and a big Asda and other restaurants just up the road. Clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would say it is in need of a bit of modernisation. The room 9 had one twin plug point which was nowhere near the bedroom tables so if you want to charge your phone next to you at night you can't. The hotel was having the corridor walls painted so maybe it's being modernized. I could hear people walking round in the room above too. Not as nice as other Premier Inns
Can't fault the service from the staff, very polite and helpful through the visit. The rooms are suitable for a simple overnight visit, a little dated however compared to other Premier Inn hotels. Could do with some renovation.
This Prenier Inn is in a great location situated next to Aintree Racecourse and within a five-minute walk to the nearest train station. It's not 5-star luxury but it doesn't claim to be. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotlessly clean. I would have given 5-stars if breakfast was available on the premises but this is not the case. There is a Toby's across the road and while we ate there we didn't love it. However, for value and location this Premier Inn is hard to beat.
Located right by the Aintree race course, this Premier Inn hotel hasn't had a refurb in a while but otherwise is good. Plenty of free parking when I stayed and the free WiFi also worked. Clean and comfortable beds with a half decent shower. No road noise was heard in the room I stayed in. Toby Carvery across from the Premier Inn, we couldn't eat there at 8 as it had "run out of meat". Lots of other places to eat within a short walk from the hotel.
