I ordered a cheese flat bread panini which I wasn’t I enjoying the taste of as I thought it was too dry with it being such a thick bread and not enough cheese. So I thought I’d take it back and say I’m not enjoying it also it was on the expensive side! So I wanted to enjoy my lunch and not have to order something else. The man told me what was the reason I was trying to be nice and say I’m not enjoying it and he kept asking me to the point I had to say it’s dry and he said “no that’s not true all our stuff is fresh” but that wasn’t my point l! Anyway he reluctantly changed it to something else, which I found very rude! Overall food wasn’t all that and not many options. Carrot cake was lovely on the other hand.
Really good toasted sausage & egg muffins, lovely coffee and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Lovely and clean cafe too. They have lots of older folk using the cafe as its so accessible and they will bring your drinks to your table for you. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, a wide level entrance inside shopping centre with automatic doors. Tables and chairs are movable to accommodate wheelchairs and buggies.
An unexpectedly good experience. Helpful and cheerful staff, good quality tuna toastie and choc cake, and the coffee was fine too. I think the name had put me off before; it's now at the top of my list.Food: 5/5
The coffee is the highlight of this place. Definitely on the expensive side, but coffee they make is full-bodied, creamy, and flavourful. Milk usually steamed to perfection. Not in the slightest bit watery or perfumey. I keep coming back to this place for their drinks and muffins!Food: 5/5
First time visiting Muffin Break in the Ashley Centre. Great coffees and great toasties served up by friendly staff. Recommended if you are in mid shop and need a break ;- Vegetarian options: There are cheese and tomato variations of the filled croissants and paninis.
After walking past the store many times and seeing the Bacon & Egg roll displayed on the board outside I decided to give it a try today. Unfortunately, it wasn't much like the one in the picture. For a start, it was made with ham, not bacon, and instead of the freshly cooked runny egg as displayed it was more like a thin omelet. The cappuccino was excellent though. Bigger and better than expected.
I mean, it's always going to be a chain cafe, but I think this is probably the best coffee in Epsom? Certainly the espresso is excellent. Good selection of cakes as well, although they never seem to have many choices of, y'know, MUFFINS. Quite expensive overall, but the quality is good and the service is excellent and friendly. Suffers from being in a shopping mall, thus a bit stuffy and no natural light. Avoid the crisps crazy mark-up!
