Story

The Derby Arms lies on the chalk down-land in the valley of the Epsom Downs, opposite the world famous Epsom Downs Racecourse set amongst rolling countryside.

The Derby Arms is the perfect place to find a cosy corner and take time out whilst enjoying some of our Chefs seasonal dishes and our great selection of wines, ales and lagers.

Inside you will find roaring log fires, a unique dining room and comfy armchairs to while away the afternoon. Very nice pub food is good but I was here tonight (Sunday). The pub was very busy then got very quiet when asking the bar staff what time they was shutting I was told last orders 10:30pm. When ordering the next drink one of the bar staff (tall guy shaved head) said last orders after this one to his manager to which te reply was no in an hour as it was only 9:30. Then at ten o’clock the same guy came to us and said last orders I replied I thought is was 10:30 I said Rhys not what the manager said he then walked over to his mates and joked about how he just done me up like a kipper. Shame since the rest of the staff were nice, bad end to the night won’t bother to bring friends here again.

Am working away from home I have tried a number of pubs/restaurants in the Epsom area some quite good. However this is the stand out place I have eaten in here 4 nights a week for the last 3 weeks it’s excellent. Staff really friendly the food is fabulous and I speak as a guy who has worked his way through the menu. In summary top class food and service for sensible money what’s not to love Keith

Love this place. Go for a pint or a meal. Super relaxed. For friends or bring family. Also has a deceptively massive restaurant. Dogs are welcome and they add to the chilled ambience. Oh the food is good too.

Lovely looking place and great atmosphere. Prices not too steep for London region, but the food was a let down. Not that good to be home and certainly did not match the expectations.
