Love coming to this pub! - a little gem slightly hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the Epsom High Street, a short walk away though. Lovely warm atmosphere, gorgeous garden currently waiting for some warmer days to get a little more busy!, very friendly staff and the new management tending the guests in a very caring manner. The new food menu rolled out recently - rather simple but a good classic comfort pub food with some vegetarian options available, and on a more affordable side, with generous portion sizes. Definitely worth checking out!
We visited "The Barley Mow" during the weekday evenings, it was well attended. The Barley Mow has a good selection of beer and cider and a small menu with local typical food. During the 12 days in England I had the best fish and chips here! Next door is a large public parking lot for a fee. From this parking lot you can enter the garden of the pub through a small gate.
What a find,we booked the pub for a family wake and nothing was too much trouble for Gee and Jo the new tenants.Everything we requested was granted. The food provided by Jo was delicious and kept on coming, all at a fair price. Those attending commented on the great choice of venue, there was such a lovely atmosphere.Looking forward to going back soon, will definitely have something to eat,and we fancy trying out our knowledge at the Quiz night on Monday.Big Thankyou to Jo and Gee,I hope you gain some future bookings as a consequence of my review, because you certainly deserve to .Nicola ,
Phil and his team hosted our wedding evening, everything was superb. The set up, the reception drinks, the fab roast dinner and the live band. The food has never disappointed us and the roasts are delicious. The garden is great in the warmer weather too.
Great pub. Very nice welcome and service from the bar lady today 21-Feb at lunchtime. Good pub grub. Only Pride on today but in great condition so who needs more.Food: 4/5
Didn't the but I'm sure the quality will be top notch. Drinks options are good seating area is really nice inside and the garden is even better in the summer. Great area to just chill and relaxService: 5/5
Cosy pub in the winter with comfy seating, good beers and roaring fires. Lovely spring/summer pub with excellent beer garden sun trap and outdoor area. One of my favourite epsom establishments, relaxed and welcoming pub. Also great place for a function!Food: 5/5
Dan B was an excellent server and barman. Should be known as ‘Amazing Dan’ for now and forevermore. He’s efficient and polite. Beautiful pub. Lovely food. Even better vino and cocktails. 10/10 a little gem of a pub in Epsom
Enormously grateful to Phil and his excellent team for looking after us yesterday 12 people of various ages 13 to 88. Leaving aside the great selection of good quality well-kept ales, the 'home-cooked' food was outstanding. My wife and I had the roast, one of which was the vegitarian option: both delicious! Thank you, Bart! Simon
Great place tucked away for the locals. I took our dog who was a bit noisy but the staff and the locals were fine with it. She even got a few dog treats and a fresh bowl of water.Food: 3/5
