We went on a Tuesday evening and was told that ALL steaks were half price, the decision what to eat was easy as there is a vast menu which is a good thing!. Both steaks cooked to perfection, and they came with chunky chips and salad. The staff were attentive, and the service was excellent even as it was so busy a huge group celebrating a birthday plus other diners. For dessert a lovely selection, the cheesecake was amazing! We would definitely visit again.

Really nice restaurant with good local parking.  Feels family run,  staff are very warm,  friendly, polite and engaging.  Food was really nice,  and nicely presented.  Also the choice of drinks is varied as well. They sing happy birthday loudly which distracts you in your tracks.  No complaints here and I would return!

We visited Galu on Easter Sunday afternoon when visiting my Son & Girlfriend. I can honestly say it's one of the nicest restaurants I've been too and I only wish we lived closer! The food was amazing, party of 6 and everyone loved their meals. I had the Salmon & Muscles from the Sunday Roast menu, it was delicious! The Baileys Creme Brulee was to die for, highly recommend! We had a lovely warm welcome and the staff are both professional, friendly & fun! Great value for money too at £36 each for shared starters, main, dessert & drinks which is great for good quality food & service. We intend to return for an evening as we've been told evenings are good fun! Thank you Galu, we will be back!

I cannot give this place enough praise. Friendly staff, steak Tuesday of which has 50% off all steak including Tomahawk!  Food was incredibly tasty and the steak presentation was perfect.  Pictures speak for themselves.

*update - I actually visited this restaurant as a child, and found out it was always serving unique Cyprus & Italian platters! Grandparents convinced me the food back then was much better than my most recent experience. Sharing an old photo!  Below average and overpriced. Menu was paper stapled together; just seems lazy. Mediterranean or Italian? Staff were friendly enough and accommodating. However, I felt that there is much better quality and value for money elsewhere.

Galu has been a firm favourite with lots of my friends and family for years now and always delivers for a special occasion. Amazing atmosphere and service, food is great for what you pay! No festive season is complete without a night out in Galu either. Support independent restaurants over the chains!Food: 5/5

Awesome experience every time. Love this place, especially on tuesdays half-price stake night.. atmosphere is electric and romantic if needed.  Parking: Free parking on the street.

We had a lovely lunch time meal here. The food is beautiful and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. This place is definitely highly recommended and you will get a lovely meal here. Deffo worth a visit.
