This place was highly recommended by several friends and we couldn't be more disappointed. We had pie and chips on a week day lunch and the chips were oily and uneatable. As for the pie, the economy range in the local supermarket is better than that, the pastry was soggy and a dodgy white sauce oozes off it in a very unappetising way. The only saving grace was the poor waiter who seemed to feel sorry for us. Don't go!

Great 8oz British beef burger with chunky chips and the roast chicken were fabulous. Sticky toffee finished it off. Staff were really attentive and friendly. Highly recommended

Had a big family lunch here Sunday, 20 plus in a private room. Nice place, good food very attentive service. Good job!

Delightful country pub all year round, fantastic food, always feel looked after by the manageress. Heaven after a 14 hour flight! Never really want to leave.

A lovely place for sunday lunch. Food is well prepared and the service is good. My grouch is that for 16 pounds I woukd expect more than one slice of roast beef in a roast beef lunch. Very mean.
