The Faraday

Story

A welcoming and informal bar in a student area, open from breakfast ’til the early hours. A great place to relax, meet new friends and join in activities such as quizzing and retro-gaming. It is also an ideal place to watch the big games on TV whilst eating and drinking from street food influenced menus

This pub provides a decent experience. The environment is clean and the staff are friendly, offering very adequate service. The seating arrangements offered enough space for us to sit comfortably without feeling cramped. The toilets were clean, reflecting a generally good level of hygiene. We visited around 6pm and it was a great spot for a group to talk, Overall, a very satisfactory option for those seeking a straightforward pub experience.
Me and my family went here after being recommended and it was perfect. The booking process I did through Google was simple and effective to get a table, but it wasn't needed as it wasn't completely rammed. I wanted a place to watch the football and we had a table ready and waiting for us. I will admit, the booking was under the wrong name but it wasn't a major mistake as they recognised it was still our booking so no issues there besides slight confusion. There is a £10 deposit that I'm sure 99% of newcomers wouldn't know about when booking a table but all that gets put on your tab with the table you get at the place so I used it for my first cocktail, so just be prepared for that. My cousin ordered food as well as drinks, this included the tacos and wings and they were absolutely delicious, the temperature and taste were brilliant, and made me wish we had ordered a full dinner there to try out the mains but we settled for sides with drinks when watching the football. The drinks were flavourful and very decent in terms of portions so no complaints there either. The atmosphere was nice with the football supporter ambience but that was somewhat overshadowed by the very loud music playing where we were sitting, it would have been nice to have the commentary in the background to add to the 'sports bar' type of vibe. Overall I really enjoyed myself here!
Had the bottomless brunch with friends,Ash made sure we we're always topped up with drinks and the food was lovely. Will definitely do this again A****Food: 5/5
Ash was an amazing waiter on our bottomless brunch with Ruby as the mixologist. Always a great experience on the bottomless brunch with great customer service. 5*******Food: 5/5
Super helpful staff and friendly too. The food was really reasonable too and quite delicious. The pizzas were loaded and the kilo of chicken didn’t look like a kilo but the flavours made up for that.
We came here on Saturday for a drink in the sun. Lovely staff and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be coming here again Edit we come here a lot now. It’s our favourite pub in epsom. The staff are so lovely and the food is great. We love karaoke on a Thursday night and coming down to watch live sport here.
UPDATED EVIEW: PLEASE BE AWARE...THEY MAKE DRINKS PRICES UP AS THEY GO ALONG. THE SAME PINT OR SOFT DRINK VARIES DEPENDING ON WHO SERVES YOU...YOU CAN GET THE SAME PINT FOR £5.50 OR £6...BE AWARE OF THIS. :/ Anywaysl, I have been coming to this pub on and off for years now, so I thought it was time to give it a review based on my overall experience of the establishment. I mainly pop down here at weekends to watch the football, and on occasions, I will grab something to eat. My last meal there was a bacon and cheese burger, and to be honest, it wasn't all that. I found the patties themselves to be rather greasy, not great quality meat, and the chips rather oily also maybe drain them off for a bit longer. The dish itself was edible, but for £11.50 I was expecting a bit more, and more than a few people have agreed with me in saying that their food is overpriced for the quality and quantity that you get. So for food I'd it give 3 stars. The pub itself, though, has a lively atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. So, defo worth going here for the sport and a bit of music if you enjoy all that and a younger crowd.
