I just want to thank Jordan who was such a gentleman and an extremely professional and graceful waiter. My husband and I ended up laughing and having a really good time because Jordan could tell the food was sub par and so worked hard to make up for that. So thank you Jordan for your attentiveness. The food however is just simply yuck! There was actual dirt in the salad!!!! Our chicken wings had so much batter on that the wing size was close to a chicken leg, the calamari also had excess soggy batter. Go there if you want to have drinks and be greeted by lovely staff but DO NOT go there to eat. The pictures attached shows my dry salad actually dried up leaves which also had dirt in it, and my chicken tower which came completely collapsed and the chicken was extremely dry and tasteless. The moment I saw the dirt though I did not even attempt to eat and Jordan was kind enough to take my plate back and not charge us. Brilliant service but disgusting food :
Lovely place the garden and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We didn’t eat outside as it was getting late however we definitely come back for a pint. Our waitress Abbie was super friendly and helpful. Service was fast. Everything we ordered was good portion and good food. I would definitely recommend this place! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is amazing. £5.99 you get 3 course for your little one. Starter, main course with 2 side orders and dessert. Good selection and fresh food!
Me and my friend lunched here on a Saturday and had a wonderful time. We both had steaks with various sides and all the food we had was perfect, we could not fault anything, lovely cocktails and desserts. All the staff were friendly and our waitress Betty did a wonderful job of looking after us, she had good product knowledge served us perfectly and chatted with us. We are definitely going back and next time we will try the burgers
A Lovely meal. We had the 12oz fillet steak & it was served piping hot & cooked to perfection. We also had the BBQ chicken & ribs upgrading to the full rack. We were offered skinny fries or chunky triple cookies chips and we both chose the latter. We added a side of chunky slaw & beer battered onion rings. All the food was very good. After this we were full so didn't order pudding so will have to return. Our server Emma was very helpful and is a real asset to this Beefeater. We'll done Emma & all the staff at the Tattenham corner Beefeater. We will definitely return.
Went here for a late lunch with some friends as one of them had some 40% off main course vouchers! Result! ; Anyway, I went for the T-bone streak medium rare which came with lovely, crispy and fluffy chips, onion rings and the rest! The steak itself was cook absolutely fine and I really enjoyed the meal...especially at that price! It just gets 4 stars as doesn't rate with some of the best steaks I've ever had. That's it. Also try their Sundaes if you have a sweet tooth...and if you can manage one! ; But definitely worth a visit as the food overall is very good. :
OK, if you are not in a rush. Food is good if a bit on the pricey side, but service was slow. We have been here 1.5 hours and only had drinks plus main, now waiting for table to be cleared.Food: 4/5
Very disappointed . Had the shared roast. The slices of beef were actually small steaks with fat and gristle and certainly not from a joint as shown in photo. The vegetables were very soggy and waterlogged and the potatoes burnt. No cabbage as advertised The grave was very thin and had no taste Add to that a very disinterested waitress who's answer to our feedback was to say well and walk off. Slow service in general
Staff were friendly, but not enough staff on duty, we waited long for drinks, food, food order was wrong when it came sorted quickly, desserts didn’t come until we asked twice which took 50 minutes in the end. Food quality was average, garden tables were covered in dirty plates etc, not cleared white we were there, nearly 2 hours. The view from garden is amazing.
The restaurant is set in the gorgeous scenery of Epsom Downs, although it could be seen from my table. The welcome was good. The food was pleasant - a step up from standard pub food. I had a hallumi bun, which was well constituted. The service was not fast, but the person did well as there were twelve in our group, and we all got the correct food ordered. It is worthwhile going, but reservations are recommended, and be prepared to wait a little once you have ordered.
Went with colleagues for a nice pint of cold beer after a days work as the weather is nice. Brilliant view of the racecourse from the outside seating. Loads of parking spaces. Staff accommodating. Affordable price for drinks. Was a bit busy at some point that they stopped taking orders for food. Family friendly. Recommended. Will be back soon.
