Caravan and camping plus tourers it is a lovely quiet site I've stayed here a couple of times and I'm going back June 26 but camping not in a caravan static which I've found to be well equiped and clean the only thing we found was the tele reception was sketchy at best but may be a thing of the past because they are having WIFI fitted throughout the site, club house is very nice prices not bad and they do different things on the evenings probably suite everyone in one way or another I would recommend for a nice stress free place to stay and Moffat a smashing place with lots of local shops all seem to be well stocked and of course the fish and chips are a certainly worth a try! Have a lovely stay, Phil June 26 this is a review of the caravan park not camping ground?nCAMPING REVIEW June 27thnIf however, you are looking to camp here then I would recommend you find somewhere like the camping and caravan club site not far away this place is not suitable for camping people there is no flat areas or very few I used my thule outset so I could at least level up i was due to stay a week but I was here about 24 hours a total waste of a 158 quid, the toilet block is a portacabin with 3 very tight showers and two toilets there is NO disabled facility's the path and step up into the loo is a very bad shale and rubble path and a step up of about 10 inches to a foot no grab handles with dirty floors covered in grass cuttings and mud from the ground this of course ends up in your bedding I am going to try and get a refund but I am not going to hold my breath and at this time of year a very bad midge problem the little veracious clegs take lumps out of you and they do not stock bug spray or worn you of this and I forgot they have a lake here so from march/April till September you will probably get Eaton alive like me and normally they don`t bother me but these little cretins are not the normal midge I have encountered before these are more like a little horse fly so please I hope this helps you out there not to make the same mistake as me if I could I would only give this camp site a big fat ONE at best.
Really nice place, on a main bus route to Glasgow or Dumfries. Bar and snacks onsite, grass pitches are a bit uneven and go slow over the speed bumps as they are not smooth.
Just spent a brilliant weekend at this site with the family and it was spot on. The views over the lake are absolutely stunning first thing in the morning, and the whole place feels peaceful yet well looked after—clean pitches, friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us, and that little clubhouse shop came in handy more than once. We grabbed takeaway from the tavern a couple of nights; the chilli loaded chips were unreal and the pizza went down a treat with the kids. Rabbits hopping about everywhere kept them entertained, and being only a short drive or a decent walk if you fancy it into Moffat made exploring easy. Even had a minor hiccup with water one morning but the team sorted it quickly and sorted us out with bottles—no fuss. Proper relaxing break, we’ll definitely be back. Five stars all the way!
Just back from a 4 day break, place is stunning, there is a club house, a little shop, and only a 5 min drive from moffat centre. There was a burst pipe on our last day but the lovely lady at the reception gave us water but it was sorted in no time. Didn't get the ladies name but she could not do enough for us, she was so lovely thank you. We will be back x
