Stayed 3 nights in the tranquility of this lovely secluded park. I could of stayed for longer and will definitely return. Caravan was 2 bedroom. The double was very comfy and a good size. The furnishings were tired and a bit stinky but this is down to it being a pet friendly caravan. It was clean enough but could do with being updated. Lovely location surrounded by country lanes, farms and beautiful drives. Wildlife - bunnies hopping around and a cuckoo and other birds . Peaceful and a delightful hidden gem.
Gorgeous park so quiet, amazing for a relaxing weekend Pam and Dave are amazing so lovely and kind. Log cabin so clean and tidy bedd super comfy. Amazing wild life little bunnies Rooms: 5/5
Someone broke into my caravan while I was sleeping. They left a big fat schlong of a dump in me caravan. It clogged my pipes and needed a plumber to check my pipe to make sure it was cleared. everything was all good in the end. got them to the police station, but they did nothing about it, just recommended a cleanup. Rooms: people will randomly break in and take dumps. Safety: people will break in. Walkability: can walk a bit, would recommend.
Well. What can we say. We had an amazing week at Angecroft Park. We didn't want to leave to come back to Lincolnshire. The lodge was beautiful the scenery is incredible The wildlife was amazing to see. The management are lovely people. Anything we needed they was there. We really got on well with them. Customer service was 100% we truly enjoyed our stay and will be booking again for next year. Rooms: Very cosy and spacious. Very clean. Nearby activities: You can feed the birds and go on woodland walks. Take a walk down to the Ettrick marshes just enjoy the wildlife. If your a hiker or runner this place is perfect Safety: Very safe. 24/7 onsite management available if needed . Walkability: Amazing. Brilliant nature walks even round the park and just outside.
This is a quiet secluded site only a few caravans and large cabins .The one we wss in 4b was a great size 2 bedrooms tge main bedroom was big lots of storage wardrobes en suite toilet. The bed needed a mattress topper can feel springs , The caravan needs a bit of cosmetic upkeep radiator rusty, settee needes a board under it sags onto pull out bed underneath ,slow drainage in sinks, even though tge caravans are a few years old it was very warm new boiler ,cosy and clean. There was all the things you needed for a caravan stay .There is a little store in the house and access to Dvds and books to borrow .The site itself is great for a relaxing wildlife watching vaccation. There are plenty of walks for dogs in the area .lots of rabbits running around the site.beautiful scenery .The roads around are all country lanes lots of passing points,a logging area and it takes 45 mins to the nearest supermarket Moffatt or Hawick so take plenty of food/goods with you .Having said that i realky enjoyed my stay there with the dogs .it is a tranquil site and plenty of things to see in the area.scenic beautiful, rolling hills ,valleys, rivers, lochs wildlife, and lots of sheep
Views and scenery amazing! Accommodation is a bit tired but still spacious and comfortable. Very dog friendly. If you're not with O2 there's no phone signal and no site wifi, which these days is unusual. Very basic shop no site cafe or restaurant but others within a short drive. We took a different road from the park every day, fabulous adventure. Recommend Moffat for ice-cream and Gretna for the outlet shopping. Beautiful part of the world, get out and see it!
Cabin was clean but was very 1980s Outside had loads of cobwebs and needs a bit off a spruce up. Wasn't expecting to much as it is dog friendly . The caravan park itself is very run down again a wee spruce up would go a long way. Pam was very nice, pleasant and helpful. As the saying goes you get what you pay for
Very peaceful place to stay, we went for a little escape and it was exactly that! We have a German Shepard who struggles with other dogs, and it was fantastic with the nearby walks being so quiet. Small shop on site was very handy for any little bits we’d forgotten! & snacks… welcoming, and cosy little place! Would recommend.
Caravan needs a deep clean had to wash everything even the fridge/freezer carpets dirty caravan smells of damp beds uncomfortable cobwebs everywhere no mop and bucket not even carpet sweeper caravan park run down. Lovely caravan park a couple of miles away Honey Cottage caravan park and really good cafe/shop Bee Hive cafe. Won't be back to Angecroft EVER
The two stars are for the nice people running the place and not the site or caravan. The couple are very pleasant and helpful. However, It looks like the owner has spent nothing on the place for decades. Very dated worn-out caravan. Living room area smells of dog. Most of the place had been cleaned, apart from the fridge. There was a nasty smell. We cleaned it out ourselves glad we brought our own cleaning supplies, which took away the smell. The freezer door doesn't work too well either. The decking around is old and the caravan has cobwebs all around outside. The TV cuts out at times due to a weak signal. We were placed next to an unused caravan with junk outside, so when sitting out on the decking, that's the view we were met with. The beds are not comfortable! If the weather had been bad we would've gone home early. This is not run by Hoseasons. I think they just take the bookings. The advertising is a little disingenuous. You are in the middle of nowhere! Shops are around 35 to 50 minutes away, depending on which ones you go to. Selkirk is about 35 minutes away, which is a nice little village/town with cafés, restaurants, a Co-op, a Spar and some quaint little shops. There is a little shop on-site, but it doesn't have much. If you need a few supplies, there is a better small shop in the Bee Hive café about 10 minutes up the road, on the Honey Cottage Caravan Park. On the plus side the weather was great, the scenery nearby is absolutely beautiful. There are small wild rabbits running around and you get to see a variety of birds. For the most part it was quiet which is what we wanted, although there is a road running next to the site, but it's not too busy. We will not be back to this caravan site, and based on our experience cannot recommend it. The wood cabins maybe better.
