We were driving south and saw this place and as we needed a break, thought this would be ideal. So we parked just by the door to the shop/cafe. There is a step to get in and I struggled to negotiate it, but I got there and sat at one of the tables for coffee. The lassie at the counter was pleasant and helpful and the drink and piece were fine. The shop had a small selection of things, a kind of basic store for hard up campers comes to mind. Anyway, before leaving I asked where the disable facility was to be informed there wasn't one! It would seem disabled people are either not welcome here or not expected to either have a holiday or stop in their car in passing. Anyway, she did direct me to the site toilets round the side of the building. Again entry was not easy but I managed to do what was needed but then found I did not have enough room in the cubicle to dress properly, so praying nobody would choose then to come in, I had to finish in the corridor. When you need 2 sticks to be able to walk a short distance out of your wheelchair, these things are very embarrassing. Just to cap it off by the time I had done, I almost fell going down the step exiting the toilet, I was shaking that much from the pain due to the struggle. I will not ever stop here again. If you are fit and able, the drink and food is fine, the service too. Just be aware that it does not cater to any disability.
Very well laid out park, lovely clean and spacious mobiles, laundry facilities and cafe on site with shop for essentials. Friendly place to visit. Scenery was amazing.Rooms: 5/5

Tasty bacon baps and good coffee from the new on-site cafe portacabin Beehive Cafe?. Very friendly staff and spotless toilet&showers round the back of the cafe
Wow what a difference a year makes! Returned this year to be very pleasantly surprised to find a newly refurbished shower and toilet block and a super little shop stocked with, well EVERYTHING ! from ready meals to fishing nets for the kids, and the prices were very reasonable.Lovely base for walking and cycling and a very peaceful setting. So, to sum the place up, the best of both worlds, a peaceful get away from it all, great shower in the morning then nip to the on site shop for my milk, bread and bacon. Will be back soon !
Been coming about 20years, love the place. Be warned the roads are mostly single track with passing places so wouldn't suit nervous drivers. Site has no phone or TV signal unless you have satalite, next to a nice river, owner Alan is a luvly chap, clean toilets and showers, small shop.
Where do I start. I rang the chap Alan who owns the place up, the night before. No issues got booked in. Arrived really late, still this was no issues, had some issues with electric my fault however Alan still went right out of his way to help us. Small pub half a mile away that’s walking distance for sure. Lovely food and scenery. Set in the most beautiful place prob in the Uk and Scotland, that remote u could here a penny drop, well they heard me coming that’s for sure, Met some great people of the caravan site who had statics they welcomed us with open arms, back to there static and food served. In a nut shell Perfection WiFi on route Location perfection Owners perfection People around the site wonderful Ten out of ten and will be revisiting very very soon. Prob a static I want on this park.
Fantastic caravan site. Scenery is amazing and great walks around the area.Service: 5/5
I didn't have any cash - only a card - but the kind lady at the camp shop gave me a coffee anyway. I was half way round a hard 65k bike ride and it was greatly appreciated.
