Nice but old hotel, staff great and helpful, good car park. The inside is aging, a bit of attention is required, a lot of scuff marks on walls and skirting boards, our room had dust on the wood behind our bed, and the bath had a hole in the ceramic which was rusting, also the plumbing needs attention, nearly scalded taking a shower, when demand was placed on it somewhere else in the building. Breakfast was excellent,nice bar area, upstairs windows needed the services of a window cleaner, we had a great view, but struggled to see it. Overall it's ok, needs a bit of love and attention on the infrastructure to make it look nice
We loved our stay, Beck in particular was brilliant and went above and beyond to look after us and our slightly timid dog - he even sat us a bit apart from other groups at dinner to make her feel more comfortable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Food was delicious, even my vegan option which can feel like an after-thought at some places. Beautiful location in a lovely village. We'll definitely be back!
Sorry it’s taken me a while to write this val, but my daughter moved house?nThank you for looking after my husband and I and our best friends too?nService was fantastic and everyone was very friendly and made you feel relaxed?nOur only small niggle was our bedroom size?nFood/ service/ staff five stars would come back thank you
Had a lovely two days at the park hotel, staff lovely, Val on reception day we arrived was a joy, someone definitely in the right job! Breakfast good quality. Lovely view from bedroom, bed very comfortable and fantastic sleep. Dining room needing little refurbishment, chairs etc. lovely sitting area in the garden, again needing wooden furniture maintenance. Definitely will return.
We stayed three nights with my partner and everything was lovely. Delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful scenery. The only thing that was even a little negative was that the voices from other rooms/hallway could be well heard to our room, but it didn't matter when everything else was so good!
