Excellent guest house in the centre of Exeter. Fantastic location, rooms are to a high standard and very clean. Really enjoyed our weekend stay and we will definitely go back.

These people make an effort. A quality breakfast in a spotless hotel served by uniformed staff. Nice. I'd go back just for breakfast! The room had a four poster and a high ceiling and was furnished to the highest standards. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Not far from the city centre either. Can't fault it.

I have now stayed at the Melbury on several occasions and, indeed, always try to stay there when I am in Exeter on business. It is very friendly, clean and the rooms are delightfully and quixotically ornate and very comfortable. The breakfast is good too. Why can't there be more hotels like this?
