A lot of stuff crammed into the store. Staff are always trying to help. Car parking easier before lunchtime when the gym goers take over every space. Love the connected home section.

They've done the store up and moved things round. The electronics components, that being plugs and spade terminals, have all been shoved into big drawers and they seem to have got rid of all the other components. It's okay if you want to buy some tacky disco lights but the 1980's has been and gone, or some cheaply made turntables, but the 1990's has gone or even a Chinese drone for big money but it seems that internet trading has affected Maplin now, shame as Modern Radio has moved right across to Farnworth now. Staff don't seem to know anything about their components either like they used to. Stick to internet buying and save your time and money I reckon.

If you know exactly what you need and why, Maplin is a viable option. If you need help or advice, prepare to receive it from a feckless child. These guys used to be the specialists, but they're fast becoming the PC world of electrical shops
