I have just had a super couple of days staying at this fantastic hotel Everyone was professional helpful, caring and an absolute credit to the Malmaison group Special thanks to Jade in the restaurant for her concern and help with my dietary needs Also the very efficient American lady on Reception who sorted out a query very promptly The room was so well equipped I cannot believe that this hotel is only three star Everything is thought of and provided As an older solo traveller until my daughter joined me for one night, I was given every every care and concern I will be returning soon A very big thank you to everyone

Staying at the Malmaison Leeds and decided to use the in house restaurant. Awful experience. Music so loud the furniture was vibrating and despite asking for it to be turned down, nothing. Took half an hour to place an order even though to place was half empty. Rump steak was more like an over done minute - too thin to be pink as ordered. Side dish was forgotten turned up as the meat was finished. No mustard. No water. No staff. No hope. Don’t usually review negatively, but this place needs to be avoided.
Got the chateubriand meal deal with wine 79.99. Chateubriand came out flat cold which I was told be 40 min to cook again or could heat up the one I had which I didn’t want as it was medium rare! Bill came to 300 as we ate with another couple and ordered another 2 bottles wine plus 2 pints. Paid bill and got knocked off 1 pint which we weren’t happy with! Then offered 2 pints and the crème brûlée desert as that’s all they could do! So we accepted as we didn’t want to argue. Gets home and checks the receipt and we were charged 24.99 for the free meal house wine ‍‍‍
Staff were lovely but run off their feet, food was not good, first meals came out cold, sent them back but all of the food was salty, bland and tasted processed. They gave us a discount after first offering free deserts we were all on a fixed price 2 course menu which included desert. Would not eat there again just because the food was so bad. Staff excellent though.
Food was good, not enough staff though! We got the feeling there was a Christmas party on in a banquet room because the 2 serving staff and 2 bar staff were run off their feet, every table was full, I felt sorry for them! I waited at the bar for half an hr to be served 4 drinks. No clean glasses , they were pulling them out of the dishwasher and rinsing them! No clean tables, simply not good enough. We were all disappointed.
