My wife and I stayed for 1 night in the Lyndene Hotel. Based on our experience we would not be able to recommend this establishment. Unfortunately, we were unable to book directly with the hotel which resulted in us paying £145 for a £85 room. Although the room was clean, it was dated and very small. The room was unbearablely hot, resulting in a very uncomfortable nights sleep no fans are provided in the rooms, to cool you down.nnWe cannot pass comment on the food as we decided not to dine at this establishment. The bar was like stepping back into the 80s, however the drinks were reasonably priced.nnDue to the increased temperature within the room we had to sleep with our window open. The noise from outside was noticeable until beyond 3 am on a midweek visit.nnAll the staff were friendly we arrived early, and the staff allowed us to check in before the room was ready in order to park our car at no financial cost. The location of the hotel is in a great ,equidistant between The Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower.nnIn conclusion if you wanting a restful night sleep this is not the place to stay.
As a wheelchair user with Friedreich's ataxia, accessibility is not a preference for me – it is a necessity.nnFour weeks before my stay, I contacted the hotel specifically to confirm that it could accommodate my accessibility needs. The day before arrival, the hotel contacted me again and I confirmed that I required an accessible room. Based on these conversations, I believed the hotel was suitable for a wheelchair user.nnOn arrival, I discovered that access involved significantly more stairs than I had been led to expect. Despite informing the hotel in advance that I use a wheelchair, I was told that my wheelchair could not be taken in the lift because it was considered a hazard. My partner had to assist me up the stairs, which caused me considerable pain and discomfort.nnThe situation became even worse when the lift stopped working. Reception informed me twice that it would be reset, but it remained out of service. As a result, I was left on the second floor without independent access and was effectively unable to move around the hotel safely as a wheelchair user.nnI also had to struggle through a busy public lounge area while trying to access my accommodation, which was both humiliating and distressing.nnHotels have responsibilities towards disabled guests, and I had taken reasonable steps to ensure my needs could be met by contacting the hotel in advance. Unfortunately, the accommodation and access arrangements I encountered did not match the assurances I had been given.nnI am grateful to Booking.com for intervening and relocating me to another hotel that was genuinely accessible. Without their assistance, I would have been left in an extremely difficult situation.nnI would urge any wheelchair user or guest with significant mobility impairments to ask very detailed questions about accessibility before booking this property.
I had a brilliant stay from beginning to end. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout. From the moment I entered reception, I was welcomed by wonderful and attentive team members who made everything easy.nThe rooms were clean, tidy, and spacious, which made the stay very comfortable. The layout of the hotel is a bit of a maze, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.nBreakfast was another highlight—the staff provided fantastic service and were very attentive.nOverall, a great stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Had a lovely few days here, hotel very nice we had a small double with Seaview which was very nice , lovely powerfull shower. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Didn't have dinner. Cabaret on evenings were good although too loud. We went to bed on the Friday night and the noise was very loud untill midnight and we were up on 2nd floor. Could do with a quiet lounge part for people that just want to have a drink and a chat.nI would stay here again but bring my ear plugs next time. But thoroughly enjoyed it .
Just got back from Lyndene Hotel after a 2 x night stay for our 54th wedding anniversary, we stayed in a small twin room with sea view which was clean and tidy and nice and warm.nWe stayed B&B which was very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful and the entertainment was very good.nlocation was ok for us, a leisurely walk along the prom to the tower or get a day pass on the tram, tram stop 100yds from the hotel.nThe only criticism we had was we were on the 2nd floor above the hotel entrance and found it a bit noisy due to inconsiderate people stood outside being very rowdy after midnight etc, but that is not a criticism of the hotelnAll in we had a lovely stay at this hotel and would come again..
